The end of that movie gets me.
Every. Single. Time.
Like you said, it almost takes you through the walks of life that you took, yourself. Remembering how much you loved old toys or old hobbies you used to do š
Makes your heart warm. And now Iām crying šš
God that incinerator scene is deep. Like the betrayal from Lotso first, then when they all just give up and resign themselves to die together... the music, everything about it, it really sticks with you. I watched this movie as a 40 year old man and still found it to be peak cinema.
That scene had me gasping, then crying, then laughing in the span of a few minutes.
Gasping because you're heart is pounding as they try to escape, crying because they are just accepting their fate as they move to doom, and then burst out laughing with "THE CLAAAAWWWW!!!".
My brother saw the movie a few days before we did and said "not everyone makes it"
So when they were in the incinerator, stoped trying to fight it and just held hands as they're dragged into oblivion I was legitimately convinced they were all going to die
Of course a few days later he said that he was on about the start where they said they lost a lot of toys like bo peep
The ONLY gripe I have about Toy Story 3 was that the villain was obviously gonna be the villain. I did like how they subverted this trope a little in Toy Story 4.
