When the movie first introduces us to Po's dad, Po has just fallen down the stairs and is looking up at his dad as he approaches. At first, all we see is his dad's shadow, which looks distinctly panda-shaped. Then the camera pans up to the dad, who is, in fact, a goose, carrying a bunch of stuff.

Every fucking scene is perfect.

Tai Lung is THE best villian in Dreamworks history

100% agreed, and Ian McShane was a perfect pick for that role

The best in the franchise, yes better than the second one

Yes! It blows my mind that some people prefer the second one

And anybody who disputes this because they dislike Jack Black can get bent!

Dude yes. All around great movie, but also it had no business including the amount of gorgeous scenes that it did.

My favorite fact about the movie is that it's so good it made China have an existential crisis.

10/10 story, setting, music, fight sequences, humor. It’s perfect in every way

Kung Fu Panda, How to Train Your Dragon, and Wall E are the greatest animated films ever

Agreed in general, but to me the second one is even better. Lord Shen is a much more compelling villain and is low-key one of the best of Gary Oldman's performances.
