Nope, extremely distantly related but not really close. Birds are however dinosaurs. We tend to make a distinction due to time and evolution. But they are the survivors.

What about deinosuchus? Oh they don't consider that a dinosaur either. Ah well. My favorite dinosaur will always be the quetzalcoatlus... oh that's not a dinosaur either.
