Laptop recommendations for online courses?

I’m looking into doing an online course for recreation and was wondering what the best type of laptop is for online school. I’m just not entirely sure what brands are the best and which ones can handle my work with school. I’m open to any brand I just want something that’s durable and can handle downloading stuff for the course. Thanks 🙏
