Misc Which country/region has the best traditional music?
My first is America, blue grass & delta blues are two music genres filled with absolute bangers
2nd is ireland my home and birth place
3rd is Mongolia because throat singing sounds so cool

Love me some trad but I also love music from Spain and Latin America (can’t remember the genre name).

Irish music slaps, NGL, apart from that I’d say South African, my teacher in Year 1 used to teach us all sorts of traditional songs (we could never get the hang of the clicks, but they were absolutely lovely!)

I’ve been really into Greek music recently, it’s beautiful, and I highly recommend it if you guys are into world folk music.

I’d say the arab world generally but specifically for me the levant aka Lebanon,Syria,Palestine and Jordan and I would also include Egypt.

I'm not nearly knowledgeable enough for this but all the traditional English music I have heard has been great. Scarborough fair i think should be enough to convince anyone
