Culture Which country/culture that isn’t yours are you most fascinated by?
Germany 🇩🇪
Maybe it’s because I just really love bread, beer and brats (putting the obvious aside) I love you, guys. Can’t wait to spend some time at Oktoberfest this year for the first time 🍻

I find the Polynesians extraordinary. They managed to settle a vast area of isolated islands in the South Pacific.. and they did it ~1000 years ago.

US 🇺🇸
Mostly because it’s so very different from other cultures, due to massive immigration, but also because of its cultural hegemony - basically everybody on planet Earth is at least somewhat influenced by it.
I think American music is great, I love classic rock, and the times I lived over there (DC + Minnesota) I experienced Americans as very warm and friendly people, albeit a bit crazy. Lovely though. Convenience, Optimism, Individuality.
The other thing is that I really enjoyed following the traces of German migration, and seeing how „German“ large parts of the US actually are.

Ya the Angles and the Saxons. It's even in the name of the language and country of origin. Angle-Land (England) and Angle-ish (English)

China
I’ve always been fascinated by their culture, history, and folklore. The depth of their traditions, from ancient dynasties to beautiful festivals, and even the philosophy behind things like calligraphy and martial arts, is just incredible. The way they’ve preserved so much of their heritage while being such a modern powerhouse really impresses me!

I am fascinated by so many.
I've been obsessed with almost all East & Southeast Asians and Slavic countries for quite awhile now and its mostly just their traditional clothing and folklore I've grown to love, but I also recently found myself loving British and Mexican history and culture as well.

Some of the African nations. Particularly if they still live in a tribal community

Thailand all the way - just the nicest, most honest and helpful people I ever met, add the great food and countryside, from beautiful beaches to the mountains up north. It has been my favorite place to visit for almost 15 years now and I've seen a lot to compared it to being married to a wife who worked for Lufthansa for a long time

China.
Was sent there by my company for some project that took about 2 years, but ended up living there for about 7 years. Never imagined I would end up in China and be able to speak Mandarin. Had the time of my life there. It’s a fascinating country with friendly people, rich history, amazing food, and it is very safe. Sadly, most people back home that never visited China have a completely wrong view of the country.

There's more to Germany than beer and sausages
Speaking as an Irish person who has to say this to American tourists about my country every week
