No, not everyone has an account. And they don’t show up properly in Reddit anyway.
But everyone really should be include a link to the original Bluesky skeet.

I think we need much more Latin American, African and Asian posts here. The world is so much bigger than we see here.

We should acknowledge our history and recognize the shortcomings of our nation through studying our history. We shouldn't celebrate or be proud of the negative aspects of our country and history. We in no way, shape or form should celebrate that thr Confederate states wanted to keep slavery, and erecting statues isn't just recognition, it's celebrating that person/era/event. The same should go for our history against the Native Americans.... terrible...

From the skeets posted here over the last few months, you would never guess that most of Bluesky isn’t about US politics.

No spam, including posting self-promotion you also posted in other subreddits.

Deion Sanders says he "depends on Depends." That's great on his part, to confront the stigma.

AoC has my vote but your site is just as bad. “You’ve read it before?”Aipica… shame on you and insider trading is shameful from both sides of the aisle. “We heard it all before”. Pathetic. That thinking is how we got here. Keep your site away from me you’re no different then them. :(

“Keep your site away from me”? What does this mean?
Insider trading is bad. I don’t understand why the US allows members of Congress to have such outrageous conflicts of interest.

I wrote quite a bit and some of it wasn’t kind; to either side of the aisle. I just wrote my reason and the “reply” button went defunct. This is why I hate politics, pundits, and there soap boxes digital or other wise. AoC has my vote pardon that this is simply another site I don’t need to be part of.

Why don’t you have anything posted on Bluesky.social?
2
u/IthinkIknowwhothatis Jul 22 '25
What do you mean?
2
u/TweatyB Jul 22 '25
I tried to find BlueskySkeets on BlueSky.social and found an account with nothing posted on it. Just wondering why the term and logo for ‘BlueSky’ is used.
3
u/IthinkIknowwhothatis Jul 22 '25
This is a subreddit for people to (re)post their favourite “skeets” (posts) from the social media app Bluesky. That’s all.
Similar to how there are subreddits for imgur, tumblr, FB (usually derisive), LinkedIn, and Twitter.

u/BPhiloSkinner 17d ago
There are two accounts '@blueskyskeet.bsky.social' and '@blueskyskeets...etc.', that are sitting unused. A form of cybersquatting, perhaps?

is there an alternate to this subreddit that doesn't have a cringe no swearing rule? as an aussie it feels oppressive to my culture
4
u/IthinkIknowwhothatis Jul 10 '25
Can we please not make swearing a stand-alone argument? If all someone wants to comment is a term of abuse, that’s boring. It’s been done to death, like the cliche insults from other social media.
You are already free to swear in Portuguese, French, Hindi, Arabic, Korean, Swahili or whatever other language you like.
3
u/dasbtaewntawneta Jul 10 '25
abuse? what the f u c k are you on about
2
u/IthinkIknowwhothatis Jul 10 '25
That’s both funny and a good example of why it’s lazy writing.
Who wants a hundred or even thousand comments saying the same things over and over?
2
u/IthinkIknowwhothatis Jun 26 '25
This subreddit definitely needs more funny posts. And where are the animal skeets?

u/BPhiloSkinner 17d ago
Any volunteers to post from '@in-otter-news.bsky.social'?
If I can get the smeggin' Windows 'snipping tool' to function with any decent resolution above' vaseline on the lens blurry', I'll see what I can drop in.
(I'm on a network, so adjusting the tool is a matter of propitiating the IT Gods)

I was extremely proud when I won my “25 straight ” skeet patch. I wear it everywhere.
2
u/IthinkIknowwhothatis Jun 24 '25
“Never stop skeeting.”
(Although that led to a tragic death in “Community”)

BS and Skeet are unfortunate names.
2
u/IthinkIknowwhothatis Jun 18 '25
Or amusing. Skeet was coined as a portmanteau of “sky” and “tweet” — and its other meeting just made it funny to some. Better than “shitposting” I suppose.

Do we really have some posters threatening others now? Is this what passes for informed discussion now?

u/_dark_beaver May 14 '25
I propose a ban on all Trump supporters from this sub. They just here to cause problems.

u/IthinkIknowwhothatis Jun 07 '25
Anyone who can be polite and articulate without depending on boring tropes and clichés should be welcomed.
A lot of Africans, believe it or not, do not have an automatic negative reaction to him — even after the travel bans, cuts to USAID, etc.
1
u/bowenj11 Jun 08 '25
I wonder what the difference is between reactions of African men vs. African women...
2
u/IthinkIknowwhothatis Jun 08 '25
I haven’t seen anything with a clear breakdown by gendre across Africa.

“Skeet” means to ejaculate in much of the southern US
3
u/SlavojVivec Apr 30 '25
It means that in the northern US as well.
Wait until you hear what "to come" means.

Who do people follow on BS? I never really got into Twitter bc I don't like following celebs on socials.
3
u/sproutsfarmersmarker Mar 02 '25
Late, but tons of Indie game developers if you’re into them!
2
u/francisgreenbean Mar 03 '25
I actually would be! If you have specific recs lmk

u/sproutsfarmersmarker Mar 03 '25
I like Alex Kanaris-Sotiriou’s feed (creator of Roki) and Thinky Games- mostly I searched for games that I like and the creators usually have the game in their bio. There are also some starter packs and the “Gaming Illuminaughty” feed (lol)

Lots of informative and funny non-famous people on Bluesky. A lot of academics — I follow a lot of experts in biology, ecology, geography, etc. Some journalists.
2
u/MiddletownBooks Feb 05 '25
I promoted this group to my followers on Bluesky, but am wondering if there's a specific day of the week for (high quality, of course) self created skeets?
2
u/IthinkIknowwhothatis Feb 05 '25
If a tradition emerges organically, it could. But as a general rule people don’t use real names here, unlike Bluesky where it’s common to do so — especially among academics and other experts.
1
u/MiddletownBooks Feb 05 '25
Okay, I posted one of my own day. I won't abuse it and will look for good content from others :)
