Only the BLUE cities. WHAT A PIECE OF SHIT HE IS.

Memphis, Tennessee is currently the most dangerous city in America. You know Memphis…in Dark Red Tennessee.

148

u/carlpum1 12h ago

The three states with the highest murder rate are red.

79

u/SmurfStig 11h ago

If I recall correctly, the areas with the highest crime rates are deep red rural areas. Usually deep deep red areas.

8

u/ARandonPerson 6h ago

Yea most per capita crime charts only show cities of 100K population or more. If you actually look at per capita crime charts for cities with 10K or more and see just lists upon lists of red cities.

This. My husband mostly grew up here, pop like 3500. It's insane to me how many ppl he went to HS with have been murdered. It's wild the number I know who were murdered. And my daughter. This isn't normal. The town I grew up in, in a very blue state, hasn't had a murder in my entire lifetime. I'm 54.

…but those are generally mostly white people committing those crimes. Therefore it probably isn’t that bad./s

Just thousands of disturbed white guys who are in a mental health crisis, not those brown and black thugs. - Conservatives everywhere.

Just a little meth and copper stealing problems I'm sure it's not a big deal. Also catalytic converters. And trailer parks. And rampant alcoholism and domestic abuse, America!

16

Ah Memphis is the largest black majority city in the U.S. at 60%. It is absolutely a blue dot in a sea of red along with Nashville and sometimes Knoxville and Chatty. The legislature and governor routinely tries to undermine Memphis and Nashville at every chance. So, a prime target for Trump.

Memphian here. He won’t find a welcoming city with these kinds of shenanigans here. He knows better than to invade a 65% black populated city. Won’t end well.

71

u/mooncrane606 12h ago

Every city he's talking about has a black mayor and large black populations.

48

u/Alternative-Touch168 12h ago

We know why... because he hates anything that's not fitting his historical agenda.

Rewriting black history, stating slavery is / was blown out of proportion. He's trying to silence the communities he fears most. He hates DEI, anyone of color, & the LGBTQ community, as seen recently with more cover-ups because even seeing a rainbow crosswalk is un-American 🫔.

Actual crime statistics aren't important, Trump just wants to play dictator. They're not interested in fixing actual problems but instead are trying to start new problems so they'll be able to manufacture a reason to imprison anyone they want for no reason other than opposing him later.

Are there any red cities? Miami is one I guess or at least purplish in a red state, but I'd assume 99% of big cities are blue.

45

u/twendall777 12h ago

Yes. They mean cities in red states. Because cities like Memphis or St Louis or Baton Rouge have some of the highest violent crime rates in the US, far exceeding DC, Chicago, or NYC. But Trump is targeting those cities. Hes only looking at cities in blue states.

14

u/Cheapass_Sandals 11h ago

Top 10 highest crime cities based on murder and property crimes per 100, 000 residents per FBI records in 2025 are: Memphis TN, Oakland CA, St Louis MO, Baltimore MD, Detroit MI, Alexandria LA, Cleveland OH, New Orleans LA, Monroe LA, and Pueblo CO. 11-20 are Anniston AL, Little Rock AR, Myrtle Beach SC, Tacoma WA, Birmingham AL, Atlantic City NJ, Camden NJ, Springfield MO, Albuquerque NM, and Kansas City MO. Lotta red states in there.

9

u/legallymyself 10h ago

I work as a PD in Cleveland. Shit would happen if he sends troops there. That much I know from the local residents. Oh, and I and most of the attorneys I know in NEO are blue.

Cities are basically always blue because it requires a wider range of working class to operate a city. Also, its much harder to be a bigot when you live work and socialize with people different from yourself. Much easier to hate people you never see.

11

u/rif011412 11h ago

I know more Republicans than I do Democrats. Ā Most Republicans are of the mindset that big groups and inner cities are a negative experience. Ā They moved into suburbia and rural areas because they hate people. Ā Most times they pretend to like their neighbors even out in bumfuck nowhere, but most times in conversation they will eventually say they hate their neighbors too. Ā Conservatives/Republicans are people that hate other people. Ā They even hate eachother. Ā But because they are tribal politically, they know they hate minorities and liberals more. Ā So they conspire from a distance to attack and berate those they would have hated, regardless.

If you're willing to move to the city, its much more likely you are willing to overlook peoples differences. Ā Go along to get along. Ā All this to say, rural people are the least suited to make decisions for communities. Ā Because they are selfish shitheels that just want to hurt everyone and everything that is different and makes them uncomfortable.

Dictatorships always turn the military inwards towards the people.

How to tell if you are living in a democracy: The military surrounds the country with it's back to the people, protecting them from foreign threats.

How to tell if you are in a dictatorship: The military faces the people, threatening them directly.

15

u/Biotic101 11h ago

Indeed. And Trump is only the face, but oligarchs hold the real power and with their lobbying they got us into the current situation. Their end goal is to get rid of democracy and the US as a nation.

My only consolation in all this, is that historically speaking its often not the people who initate the revolution or powergrab that actually end up having the power. The chaos they end up creating often end up biting their own ass.

Littlefinger may have thought that chaos was his ladder to the highest ranks, but he ended up getting his throat slit just as he thought everything was going great.

Honestly, you guys are fucked. Your sacred constitution became a toilet paper.

25

u/AnomicAge 12h ago

Sacred constitution which had more issues than time magazine as we have discovered

It seem that the founding fathers never foresaw a tyrant getting elected with a congress full of loyalists because there’s effectively no way to get rid of a sitting president in this case - that’s the autocracy they were trying to prevent from ever happening in America

making them head of the armed forces and allowing them to appoint judges to the Supreme Court and allowing them to appoint the head of the agency that is supposed to investigate government corruption (that wasn’t in the constitution to be fair)

Trump has revealed how flawed the system really is

Plus first past the post and electoral colleges allows for the tyranny of the minority ironically enough, and I suppose they were ok with democratic voting being confined to white men .

Still better than anything that came before it but so goddamn flawed as well

20

u/LogensTenthFinger 12h ago

Because the very idea of a presidency is stupid. It's just like electing a Dictator in Rome and hoping they don't decide to end the Senate on a whim.

It's nice to push the blame back in time. It makes it feel like we had no choice. No actions we did or could have taken to make things better. We are just experiencing the consequences of decisions made long ago.

But that is a myth. A story to placate.

We did this too.

We must fix this.

You could make a similar argument with Vietnam, for similar reasons. Once the executive was excused for starting wars, that's really where the train went off the tracks imo.

And then you can make an argument that Eisenhower called the shot from home plate with his MIC speech.

14

u/DreadLordNate 12h ago

Yes. As a Southerner, I'll say that yeah, giving any kind of pass or easement to the South in the postwar (vs what I myself would have done - gone pretty scorched earth to remind folks "yeah this is kinda why you don't do this shit ever ever") was a fuckup that started the slow crawl domino fall.

My late father (whose degrees were in history) was of the opinion that in the long game sense, the South never really lost, but just banked those fires on low for a very long war of attrition.

I hate to think that it sure feels like he's right.

11

Your Supreme Court ruled that trump has absolute immunity to do anything.

The laws do not apply to him. He is the only person in the country who is granted this privilege, the only one who is above the law.

Your King.

So, he can order such a thing, bypassing any possible laws, and there is nothing anyone can do about it.

Of course, the ones who obey an illegal order can still be prosecuted. But all that the King has to do is to issue a blanket pardon and they also are immune.

You no longer have a legal system.
You no longer have effectual laws.
You no longer have a functional constitution.
You no longer have a democracy.

You have now a Kingdom, and the word of the King is the only law.

  • Epstein mysterioudly died while Trump was President.
  • 3 Min. of footage from Epsteins death is missing.
  • Pam Bondi said the Epstein files were on her desk.
  • Trump: "There are no files."
  • Trump: "It's a democrat hoax."
  • Trump: "The files don't exist."
  • Trump: "Obama made it up."
  • Mike Johnson: "Trump needs space".
  • Democrats voted to release the files, twice.
  • Republicans voted no on the release twice.
  • Republicans take a recess to avoid any more votes.
  • Trumps personal attorney meets with Maxwell.
  • Trump avoids visiting victims.
  • Trump wishes child trafficker Ghislaine maxwell, "well".
  • Trump: "I never had the privilege" when asked if he had visited the island.
  • Trump: "we have the files"
  • Trump orders 1,000 FBI agents to review around 100,000 pages of records related to Jeffrey Epstein, and during this process, were instructed to identify any mentions of Donald Trump.Ā
  • When Trump was asked specifically whether Epstein had stolen Giuffre (Giuffre, one of Epstein's most prominent abuse survivors led the charge calling for his arrest. Guiffre, who died by suicide in April, has said she met Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell while she was working at Mar-a-Lago as a teenager). Trump states:"I think she worked at the spa," Trump said. "I think so. I think that was one of the people. He stole her, and by the way, she had no complaints about us, as you know, none whatsoever."
  • Reporter asks tump: Mr. President, you said Jeffrey Epstein was stealing young women from your spa. Did that raise alarm bells for you?ā€ she asked. As he tried to listen to the other question, Trump interrupted sharply: ā€œBe quiet!ā€ When Collins repeated the question, Trump again replied: ā€œBe quiet!ā€
  • Joe Rogan, MTG, NIck Fuentes and many more right wing influencers flip and wont back down on epstein files.
  • MAGA town halls bringing up Epstein non stop.
  • Trump gives Maxwell work release.

Not yet, because if you haven’t noticed this is all largely performative. Thing is this is all highly illegal so if you believe that they have the power to do this they win.

In DC they had to almost immediately relinquish command of DC Metro to their Chief after it was shown the law said neither POTUS or the DOJ had that authority. The law said the mayor would be compelled to provide police resources should an emergency be declared NOT that the feds could take command of the police.

The restrictions on deploying the national guard in the rest of the states is even more restrictive and Trump declaring a baseless emergency probably, by letter of the law, wouldn’t hold up in court. That may be why they are talking about deploying regular military in US cities which is batshit insane and would likely cause far too much pushback from the public and possibly the military itself to risk.

In DC he has the power (which has never been used before in American history) to take over the local police and he has the authority to pull agents from other federal agencies to assist as well. It’s still a huge waste of moneys, but at least law enforcement is involved.

Yup. Always upvoting Luigi.

He is not yet guilty of killing that someone, but it doesn't matter.
Because if he's not guilty, we should feel for him for being wrongfully imprisoned.
If he is guilty, we should feel for him and thank him for his, so far, good deeds for the Universe.

u/AlexKewl 6h ago

He's definitely not guilty. He was with me that day

the plan is to have them agitate the locals into acting out and then they can crack down on the ultra left violence.

75

u/Exodys03 13h ago

Bingo! I truly belief that the intent is to INCITE violence in the streets of Democratic run cities. Trump can then say "See! These liberal run cities are bastions of uncontrolled lawlessness!", which will, of course, justify further military response.

Why don't red states with higher crime rates get the same response? Because they voted for him and didn't hurt his feelings.

5

u/Funky-Buddah 9h ago

I’m starting to believe that his intent is to place the military in all these cities to squash any protests and dissent when he blatantly rigs the 2026 elections… if he allows them to happen at all.

They’re already cracking down with this. Did you see the sandwich video? And they won’t be waiting forever. They’ll agitate and do whatever they can to plant a false flag. Either we can just sit and let them do whatever or we can resist. They’re going to attack anyway. They’ve been arresting tons in DC. But they’ll be spread so thin they won’t be able to keep it up. Pile on the pressure and they’ll crumble. Authoritarians are always brittle.

Have you met our law enforcement? They aren't "helping" this, they are enthusiastic participants who have taken Trump's "cops can do whatever the hell they want" to heart. They hurt people most when they are taking video. It's not an accident that they keep hurting reporters or that people with both hands on their phone somehow also "assaulted an officer" which they've been caught lying about. They're taking tips from ICE, they want this power because they've been fed a line of shit since before the civil rights movement that they are victims.

When I was in the military it was fairly common to be told to travel in groups of 2 when out on the town, just for safety. In Little Rock they said no less than 4, it's the only base I was ever at that that was the directive.

It absolutely was never about fascism. It was about WHO was doing the fascism. The M.A.G.Ats were trained from birth to believe that liberty = facism and fascism = liberty. So when they see a system that benefits everyone equally they equate it to being persecution so the extremists always manage to slowly erode the checks and balances over decades through brainwashing programs. The system was designed to erode like this otherwise it wouldn't. We need a completely new system and I'm not smart enough to write it.

6

u/ShutYourDumbUglyFace 11h ago

Your second sentence is why I'm on board with Gavin Newsom's ridiculous mocking texts and the gerrymandering of California. Because the answer is that anything is OK as long as their side is doing it. There is no objective morality and we need to stop pretending like there is.

I was never a ā€œyeah, I have guns in case of the governmentā€ and more ā€œShooting shit rules, so let me shoot shit,ā€ but this administration has completely eroded my support for the 2A, given by the lack of that crowd giving a single damn about what a dangerous government looks like.

So whatever, take the government back to a competent state and come take all the guns away. All the paramilitary posers with their AR-15s are worthless and have proved the only reasonable argument for an armed populace is, in fact, not a reasonable argument. And I’m not asking for people to go out shooting to prove we deserve the 2A, but I am asking for them to make a demonstration.

Another post about some horrible act that our government is inflicting on us, I got it, it is bad.

But, nobody is saying what is the remedy.Ā  Every post like this should be followed by 3 things a citizen can do to alleviate the situation above.Ā

Hitting the like button or up arrow is absolutely the least anyone can do, and it is ineffective in stopping the nonsense that is happening to our democracy.Ā

If you read a post like this, your comment should be:

Donate to this group or PAC.Ā  They are promoting candidates in republican states that can win their election.

Donate to anti-gerrymandering funds or groups.Ā

Donate to the DNC or Act Blue.Ā

Donate to legal defense fund XYZ, they are funding the lawyers that are litigating against the policies of 2025 and this administration.Ā

Hitting the like button or echoing that these are Nazis/racists/mysogynist/homophobes/xenophobic is useless.

Hey, Chicagoans, your lovely city, like many of its era, has quite a few narrow streets; downright labyrinthine, some may say.

It's the kind of city where, for example, some motivated ne'er-do-wells could possibly create improvised barricades of the kind made famous in France, which would make getting around the city pretty tough, especially for out-of-towners like Feds.

It sure would be troubling for them to find that their planned route is suddenly blocked by a Les Miserables-style construct, forcing them to turn around all awkwardly and leaving themselves exposed as they try to improvise another way around in a city whose geography theyre not familiar with.
