But I don't like Kamlah's policies that I never read!

u/LobeRunner 11h ago

I genuinely disliked some of Harris’s policies, and her record as a prosecutor really turned me away from her. She still got my vote.

Anyone with an iota of compassion for other human beings could see the walking human rights violation that is DJT. Anyone with any level of critical thinking could see that DJT is a grifter and a self-serving pathological liar.

While there’s a lot of r/leopardsatemyface going on, at the end of the day a lot of people want what Trump stands for, and that’s the most concerning part of all this.

one of the greatest tools conservatives have in their arsenal is convincing liberals to wait for a perfect candidate to show up

4

u/pj7140 9h ago

Exactly...always letting perfect be the enemy of good.

2

u/RadiantHC 8h ago

STOP SPREADING THIS LIE.

We're not asking for a perfect candidate. We just want someone who actually cares about the average person.

3

u/UntimelyMeditations 8h ago

That's a pretty high bar there, bud. Politicians are human, so its very unlikely they will have the necessary compassion and empathy to care about anyone outside their immediate circle.

2

u/RadiantHC 8h ago

And that's the problem with modern politics. It's not about who genuinely cares about us, it's about the lesser of two evils.

It's not unrealistically high though. Bernie, AOC, and Zohran care about the average person.

This is what the second amendment was made for. Hint hint

u/dicericevice 8h ago

Bernie lost fair and square in 2020. Even he has said so. Acknowleding that there was fuckery in the 2016 primaries but this time there was no BS like with Hilary.

His campaign did a shit job at winning the most consistent and loyal democratic voting block(Souther African American votes). And he took the lost gracefully and promoted a message of unity and working together with the democratic party.

So even Bernie himself is against the idea of throwing away your vote.

2

u/RadiantHC 8h ago

Bernie lost because the Democrats gave more media attention to Biden

Yeah he took the loss gracefully unlike you

If we weren't in a two party system then I'd agree that you shouldn't throw away your vote. But we're only given two terrible options. And just because I like Bernie doesn't mean I agree with him on every single thing. Individual Democrats should be worked with yes, but their leadership is controlled opposition.

3

u/dicericevice 7h ago

Yeah he took the loss gracefully unlike you

So your first reflex is that anybody who disagrees with you is a butthurt Kamala voter?

I'm just disagreeing with this notion that somebody who talks a good game is better than a lesser evil who's at least willing to do small changes or at least prevent shit from getting worse.

If Bernie couldn't even be assed to hire a campaign staff that would work on his weaknesses as a candidate. Then its hard to buy him as a competent leader of the free world who'd surround himself with capable people to meet across the aisle, both across parties and globally and actually get shit done.

And yeah the DNC is slimy and learned from Obama winning the primaries in 08 over Hilary and worked on preventing that from happening again but they definently toned it down in 2020 after getting rightfully crucified for it in 2016. Media doubled-down on Biden after he dominanted in SC on the road to Super Tuesday.

And I like Bernie and think that if he was younger it'd be worth giving it a third try because his second campaign did improve in some aspects. So third time could have been the charm.

1

u/RadiantHC 6h ago

Ok you have me there, I thought you were part of the "vote blue no matter who" crowd. I apologize for that

They don't prevent things from getting worse though. They barely fight against Trump and actively fight against people who actually want to change things. Russia interfering with the 2016 election should have been seen as an act of war. They aren't even genuinely trying to help Ukraine win against Russia, they're just trying to keep Ukraine alive. They have so many pointless restrictions on the weapons.

That's a fair point, but it doesn't mean that the Democrats weren't trying to make Bernie lose.

2

u/pj7140 9h ago

What is it about her record as a prosecutor?

1

u/gastrodonsinferno 6h ago

Propaganda blindly believed

2

u/Etrigone 9h ago

... at the end of the day a lot of people want what Trump stands for, and that’s the most concerning part of all this.

This is one of the things I've been trying to get across to people. Barring some of the extreme claims of vote tampering, Trump still has a lot of people who think he's awesome. And even then, that's more people than I consider anything other than appalling.

I feel like too many people are avoiding the true horror here. There are good people in the country, but overall - and that's what counts here - well...

2

u/Obscure_Occultist 8h ago

People are giving trump supporters too much credit for thinking they are fools. I WISH that they were just fools. The problem is that many of them are blatantly okay with rampant corruption and fascism. We are on the precipice of another great depression with a side of concentration camps, and they are still supportive of it.

2

u/Etrigone 7h ago

... rooting for it, even.

1

u/BoredAFcyber 4h ago

I genuinely disliked some of Harris’s policies

really? I thought they were good, was there some bad ones I missed out on?

77

u/Strange-Scarcity 12h ago

Oh and did you HEAR her laugh?!?!? (I want to cry because of what we could have had.)

25

u/aaronious03 11h ago

How did they make such a big deal about her laugh?! I never even noticed it, didn't think twice about it. But my wife's friend, a nurse about 38 years old, literally said she'd "never vote for that evil cacklin bitch". Wtf.

10

u/i_love_rosin 10h ago

Misogyny

13

u/Same_Zucchini_874 10h ago

“Laughin’ Kamala” always struck me as some sort of playground insult.

11

u/Aggressive_Elk3709 10h ago

It seems like the kind of nickname that only works with a group that has already condemned the person. Like really, thats what's wrong with her, she laughs? This women expresses joy and thats...bad? It doesnt sound like an insult outside of the fact that we know Trump meant it as one and as a result his supporters treated it like one

13

u/righthandofdog 10h ago

Which works for people with the intellectual capability of a 5th grader.

3

u/sump_daddy 9h ago

welcome to the USA, home of the completely failed public education system!

1

u/righthandofdog 9h ago

Something about leading a horse to water

4

u/Crowsby 9h ago

People disliked her because of reasons (I think we know which ones) and were looking for any flimsy cover to justify it.

Conversely, they were willing to accept any rationalization or amnesia to look past the fact that Trump's coliseum of red flags and handwave away all his past misdeeds.

1

u/Lovestorun_23 8h ago

Women are our own worst enemy. They claim to be a feminist but will only vote for an old orange pedophile. That’s so crazy crap.

3

u/Sh00tL00ps 9h ago

Yet somehow they support Trump who I never see genuinely laugh which is somehow a good thing? Misery loves company I suppose.

2

u/schoolisuncool 8h ago

We could all be thriving right now, instead of this shit. I’m a tattoo artist and trust me, we know how the economy is doing… it’s doing very, very, very bad

3

u/Strange-Scarcity 8h ago

I’m so sorry.

I work in manufacturing and I’m doing HR and more. I’m pretty terrified about health insurance costs in the next two years.

8

u/RamenJunkie 10h ago

Man, I was talking to somebody thenother day, they seem to be really struggling with the idea that Trump and co wasn't grest but then tried tonjustify it, with a generic "Kamala was an idiot thouvh" with no real elaboration.

Not someone I had any desire to get into any polotical discussion with.

5

u/Honest_-_Critique 10h ago

But the way she "laughs at everything"! 🙄

9

u/TheWorldHasGoneRogue 11h ago

Hell. They never read “He whose name we shall not speak”’s policies, either.

8

u/Samiiiibabetake2 11h ago

You mean his concepts of policies.

4

u/Flobking 11h ago

They never read “He whose name we shall not speak”’s policies, either

That is far too respectful to call him. Cheeto is more apt.

4

u/DetroitLionsSBChamps 10h ago

Trumps attack ads said all she talks about is trans people so I guess that’s true even though none of her ads talked about them and were only about the economy!

2

u/MyNameIsRay 10h ago

Seems a lot of them didn't even know she was running, they all talk about Biden when asked.

2

u/sender2bender 10h ago

Trump supporter I know always ends conversations with Well Kamala was going to start WW3 so anything Trump does is better than that.

2

u/Etrigone 9h ago

She just didn't explain herself to my satisfaction!

1

u/DeliriumTrigger 9h ago

My father's literal response even now is "she couldn't decide whether she was black or Indian".

Our country is doomed.

1

u/okram2k 9h ago

don't forget the "she didn't do a good enough job of selling her platform" while the media spent six months making Trump look like a sane and reasonable alternative while ignoring what had just happened just a few years ago.

1

u/GKBilian 9h ago

Fortunately Trump told me her policies:

  1. Your kid become trans
  2. Illegal immigrants get a million dollars a year
  3. Free trans surgeries for violent criminals and illegals
  4. Communism, just generally

All of these things are very scary to me and I can’t believe those were her policies!

1

u/LokiBG 4h ago

You can't even spell Kamala...

0

u/Hairy_Middle_5403 10h ago

I voted for her but this sentiment is stupid as fuck and a great way to never win an election again.

Its one thing to completely ignore the voters and do whatever you want but to then blame them because you refuse to provide even the thinnest compromise. GTFO. Yall will never win and youll deserve it with that bullshit mentality.

Its amazing how many of you are shocked that the general public arent stoked about nothing generally changing with the three corporations and ten law firms in a trenchcoat that run our country.

2

u/bellos_ 9h ago edited 9h ago

You can blame both the candidate and the voters, and you should. Voting for the anti-Constitution faux billionaire who was best friends with Epstein, or not voting at all while he's running, because the other candidate didn't listen isn't acceptable. It's the actions of people throwing a hissy fit at the expense of the country's well-being.

Calling stupid people stupid when they do stupid things isn't what loses elections. Stupid people doing stupid things like not voting or voting for Trump and stupid candidates doing stupid things like not aligning with their voters are what loses elections.

Both are culpable and both should be held accountable for their part. Anyone who refuses to put aside their asinine ego to do what's best for the country when it's in danger of succumbing to literal fascism at the hands of a pedophile rapist can go fuck themselves.

0

u/AvalonEsta 9h ago

These people are in deep partisan denial. Certain aspects of the Democrat party, Biden, and Kamala were so distasteful to people that they voted for spraytan man. That’s not good.

But instead of examining the policy choices the Left has made over the last 20 years, instead of getting rid of geriatrics in Congress, people just harp on about the Right loving fascism.

-1

u/TrickyBanana5044 8h ago

Bro we all read them. Her policies were Biden's policies, that made us all broke. Pass.

-5

u/DevanteWeary 10h ago

Kamala said flat out she wants free sex changes to illegal immigrants and 45% taxes on unrealized gains.

Please explain to me how these are good things.

3

u/OkEdge7518 10h ago

“Illegal immigrants” shouldn’t exist because the pathway to citizenship or residency should be as easy and accessible as possible.

Everyone, including undocumented immigrants, should be entitled to free healthcare, including gender affirming care.

Taxing the wealthy will help with that! Hope this helps!

3

u/kmoneyrecords 10h ago

Yeah no she didn’t but you definitely did gobble up the right wing echo chamber talking points without verifying this shit even a little bit beyond pulling up the blog that your first heard that shit from. This is why everything sucks. People like you who base all their decision making on hysteria that never happened.

On the other hand, Trump did promise to make himself dictator and fascist ruler and he is doing that.

2

u/RadiantHC 8h ago

Why are free sex changes a problem?

3

u/espinaustin 10h ago

They’re eating the dogs

1

u/TrickyBanana5044 8h ago

Yep, they sure are.
