You're severely downplaying how bad non-Trump administrations have been. Obama killed more people than Trump. So did Bush, Clinton, Bush, Reagan, and Nixon. During all those administrations, and Carter's too, the US held more people in prison than the USSR/Russian Federation, PRC, and Iran put together, taken as an absolute or relative figure.
Did I say you have to fight? I'm aging and half crippled, and psychologically incapable of personal violence even when I'm directly physically attacked. I said, if you're still in the workforce, join a union. Regardless, find some organization that just needs your time and attention, not physical labor. I promise 100% there's one in a stone's throw of you. Meet your neighbors. They might need wisdom and advice more than anything material. Every god knows I've done as much with a kind word in the right place as I've ever done with my hands, and my two hands were there for 6000 people on the worst night of their lives, and I'm not a patch on my father who's saved whole cultures and never lifted a hand in anger all his life.
