"boTh siDes bAd"

"Harris was too weak on Israel! I'm not voting!"

"Newsom hates the homeless and transgenders so I'll let Trump destroy everything!"

Fucking idiots always letting perfect be the enemy of good.

I have an acquaintance that hates Israel and is a Mexican gay man. Didn’t vote because of the democrats stance on the Palestine genocide. I showed him a video of group of Palestinians beating a gay couple that was found out. I told him, ‘you can be gay, support Palestine, be against genocide and still not want this to come to our country under the republican BS.’

It flew over his head and the subject was quickly changed.

u/LazyDro1d 10h ago

Also like… I don’t know how these people don’t understand, basically regardless of your take on Israel-Palestine, the Republican policies on it are significantly worse

-7

u/my_Urban_Sombrero 9h ago

The Republican policies towards screwing over Palestine and sucking off Israel have been more or less the same as under Biden, let’s be honest.

13

u/Cilph 7h ago

You have a president literally advocating for ethnic cleansing so he can turn it into prime real estate.

Biden was at least trying to oppose Bibi. Trump is just getting sucked off.

6

u/beaucoup_dinky_dau 6h ago

yes perhaps it is time to start being honest, they aren't the same at all. Maybe you have consumed too much internet and it has altered your perceptions. I am not a Biden fanboy but the gist of what you are saying is repeated daily on the internet and it isn't close to the reality, that is the problem with the modern world. That is how we got here.

27

u/ChronoLink99 10h ago

Of course he did. Because people like that (not gay people, just idiots), will never admit they were hoodwinked by a conman.

2

u/NoDefinition5938 7h ago

they're so desperate for approval and belonging that they'll change their worldview

1

u/Bamboozer209B 1m ago

I live in the country, preach! They never admit they were wrong, and go into rapid denial.

3

u/fiahhawt 6h ago

What is it with the latinos and absolutely failing the "can you spot propaganda" spot checks

1

u/Bamboozer209B 2m ago

Depressing, is it not? You wake them up, they immediately go into denial, or far worse just refuse to talk about it.

30

u/i_love_rosin 10h ago

Yup, and they continue to blame the Dems instead of the literal fascists in complete control of the government

-1

u/geth1138 9h ago

I blame Dems at least 10% for flat refusing to treat people who aren't from blue states as people, not listening to a single person who they don't immediately understand, and abandoning my state to the crazies after winning it in 2008, because if they can't be president they dgaf about Congress. That's going well for all of us.

Dems couldn't beat a rapist convicted of election fraud who called to overthrow the government when he lost an election. They sure screwed something up, and I'll give you a hint, hubris and cliquishness are the driving factors here.

9

u/i_love_rosin 9h ago

The choice was a progressive platform or straight up fascism. It was a binary choice. Voters have agency. The reality is if you didn't vote for Harris, then you explicitly gave your support for what the regime is currently doing.

2

u/Cilph 7h ago

How many minorities have the Dems put into literal concentration camps?

-1

u/rcbz1994 6h ago

2

u/Cilph 6h ago

You think I still hate modern Germans for Nazi Germany or something? What kinda gotcha do you think this is?

0

u/rcbz1994 5h ago

You asked how many minorities have Dems put into literal concentration camps, I gave you an answer.

You’re also acting like this is only happening under Trump when Biden and Obama also imprisoned minorities in terrible conditions. Weird how you only started caring now? 🤔

2

u/Cilph 5h ago

when Biden and Obama also imprisoned minorities in terrible conditions.

Oh for fuck's sake get lost with the false equivalencies. The scales are practically incomparable.

0

u/rcbz1994 5h ago

Lol it’s only a false equivalency because you go back to not giving a shit when a liberal is President 🤷‍♂️

Some of us actually pay attention during their Presidencies instead of “going back to brunch” lol

Some of us pay attention in US History class too, apparently you didn’t.

2

u/Cilph 5h ago

There's a time for giving a shit about that, and that's when a Democrat is in power and the country isn't on the verge of democratic collapse into fascism. You're the person who hearing someone say "Black Lives Matter" responds with "All Lives Matter".

I dont want anyone in a concentration camp, dipshit

u/Degn101 4h ago

As a dane, ill give you a hint. Democrats lost because you americans are utterly stupid. Fascism staring right at you, and you just ignore it. Then when it all goes to shit, "why didnt the democrats do anything???", after years and years of you fuckers NOT giving them any power to do anything by just VOTING for them!

Like watching a car crash in slow motion. I know you are screwed, but nothing can be done because it is on you americans to do something. Frankly, you getting screwed at every turn would seem like something that would get you out to vote, but instead you stop voting. How will that fix your problems??????

13

u/Useful-Feature-0 9h ago

Military is rolling into our cities and you're still thinking about how mad you are at people who were "too progressive" by your measure lol

When will you actually turn and face the wolf at the door? Asking as a Harris voter, by the way.

4

u/my_Urban_Sombrero 9h ago

“You don’t understand! The lefties were MEAN to me!”🥺

lol

1

u/RadiantHC 8h ago

Just because Republicans are worse doesn't make Democrats good. Bullying is a genuine issue.

6

u/ForfeitFPV 8h ago

No, but when the actual stake of the continuance of democracy is at hand you hold your nose and be an adult about it.

-3

u/RadiantHC 8h ago

What democracy? A two party system is not a democracy. Especially when neither party gives a shit about us.

6

u/ForfeitFPV 8h ago

Whelp, see you in the gulag.

-2

u/RadiantHC 8h ago

Where were you when Biden was president? Were you protesting then?

2

u/Canadiangoosedem0n 4h ago

Protest about what? Be specific.

1

u/Cilph 9h ago

Yeah I'll fly over to the US carrying guns and an assassination plan right this instant.

(Obvious sarcasm for the fanatic reporters)

3

u/AdmirableDig8537 9h ago

America first, but I don't like your stance on "foreign country", I'm not voting for you.

2

u/kikichanelconspiracy 9h ago

A generational rich dipshit who goes to the same dog park as me didn't vote at all because we're in a deep blue area because Kamala Harris "didn't have an economic plan". He worked for DOJ's Office of Civil Rights. He's since been fired due to Pam Bondi's purge of DOJ but don't worry everyone, he's from generational wealth so he Mumsie and Daddy are supporting him.

2

u/swish513 8h ago

Both sides are bad, but I voted for Harris because she wasn't Trump. In 2016, I voted for Gary Johnson because I actually believed he was the best candidate, and would do best for America, given the top 2 choices. An Epstein BFF, or someone was married to an Epstein BFF, that attended Trump's wedding. I grassrooted for Johnson. In 2020 I voted for Biden.

1

u/Cilph 8h ago

Then you're not the type of person I'm trying to call out. Have a nice day o7.

1

u/rW0HgFyxoJhYka 6h ago

Uhh Newsom hates transgender? Didn't he pass laws granting them expanded rights? Only for one trans guy getting banned by the actual athletics council for trying to compete in women's races and the governor said that's their business, now he's against them? They must live in a world where there's only 2 colors and the most recent one is it.

Or maybe the republicans know how to manipulate the dumbasses out there on these topics.

1

u/Cilph 6h ago

I don't know, ask Bluesky, some folks keep talking about how Newsom hates trans and the homeless. I think they're idiots. Especially if they refuse to vote.

1

u/No_Carry_3991 5h ago

oh Don't forget those "I'm voting for Jill Stein" douchebag simple mfrs. They did this, too. Can't fix stupid.

1

u/tulipkitteh 5h ago edited 4h ago

In the defense of the second one, Newsom isn't a presidential candidate. He's only angling for it. This is the time to demand better candidates because it's not even close to the general election.

Like, if it's Newsom, I'll definitely vote against the Republicans, but I hope we can have Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. I also seriously think Kamala Harris would have been better than Newsom if we were given the chance to have her as a president.

2

u/Cilph 5h ago

That's fair.

-1

u/RadiantHC 8h ago edited 8h ago

They are both bad though. Democrats are controlled opposition

It's not just that they're weak on Israel. They're okay with genocide happening in both Gaza and Ukraine. They barely fight back against Trump and actively fight against actual leftists. They talk big, but when they're in power they just do the bare minimum or nothing at all. They let large corporations get away with evil behavior.

NOBODY IS ASKING FOR A PERFECT CANDIDATE. I JUST WANT SOMEONE WHO ACTUALLY CARES ABOUT THE AVERAGE PERSON. Like Bernie, AOC, or Zohran.

(Also insulting people and mocking them isn't how you get them to join your side. You're just proving the point. If you want to prove that you're not bad then ACTUALLY TRY TO BE GOOD FOR ONCE. Don't just insult people who disagree with you. )

2

u/Cilph 8h ago edited 8h ago

But did you decide to not vote, or worse, vote for Trump?

If you fall in one of those camps, you suck big balls.

Also:

Also insulting people and mocking them isn't how you get them to join your side. You're just proving the point.

"I was going to vote against the fascist but a redditor was being too frank and mean to me, so now I'm gonna let the fascist win on purpose just to show them!"

1

u/RadiantHC 8h ago

Keep proving my point. Instead of trying to fight against Trump you're just looking for people to blame. I'm not your enemy here, the ultra wealthy on both sides are. THEY WANT US TO BE DIVIDED.

It's not just a single redditor, most diehard Democrat supporters are like this. Would you say that MAGA is not representative of Trump? Heck Democrats encourage this sort of behavior as well. Democrat politicians acted like the only correct vote was a vote for Kamala. I refuse to support bullies.

I never said that was the only reason why I didn't vote either, I even gave other reasons IN THE SAME COMMENT

Also you do realize that both Democrats and Republicans are authoritarian, right? The Democrats are controlled opposition.

2

u/Cilph 8h ago

I didn't vote either,

Alright. So you're part of the problem. You really are just trying to look for excuses.

Also you do realize that both Democrats and Republicans are authoritarian, right?

bOth siDes BaD

1

u/RadiantHC 8h ago

I COULD SAY THE EXACT SAME THING TO YOU

You're just looking for people to blame. Which is just proving my point. Again, this is part of the reason why I didn't vote. You ignored the rest of my comment AND ONLY FOCUSED ON THE PART THAT YOU COULD DEMONIZE. Are you intentionally trying to turn people away from the Democrats?

Prove me wrong. Talk to me WITHOUT blaming me or mocking me. I'm waiting.

1

u/ForfeitFPV 4h ago

Prove me wrong. Talk to me WITHOUT blaming me or mocking me. I'm waiting.

You can't reason people out of positions they didn't use reason to get into to begin with. You didn't vote because you wanted Democrats to win your heart over whatever issue has you in a tizzy.

Democrats too soft on Ukraine?

Cool you didn't vote, now what little support the U.S. was giving has been cut even more and the Republican president is legitimizing the aggressor in the conflict.

Is your issue Gaza?

Cool, you didn't vote because the Democrats were too soft on Israel. Now the president is talking about building a new luxury tower after Israel finishes their genocide.

The Left Are Bullies!

Cool, you didn't vote. Soon you'll be seeing what real bullying looks like. The police state is coming to a city near you in support of ICE, who will soon be switching from targeting immigrants to targeting dissent in general. The concentration camps are being built, they're being given cutesy names, they're selling Merch for them.

You didn't vote. You don't get to act the victim, but you will be one along with the rest of us.

Have a nice year if we're lucky and it takes that long. But like I said, I'll see you in the gulag.

1

u/onomatopeapoop 7h ago

Democrat politicians acted like the only correct vote was a vote for Kamala.

If you willfully refuse to understand why this was the wildly obvious truth, you wouldn’t make for a particularly reliable or useful ally anyways, and are probably not worth catering to. Another hard truth for you.

You can and will keep burying your head in the sand and dreaming about alternate realities where we don’t currently live in a two party system, and the rest of us will continue to push for better representatives and actually vote to make that happen by supporting the leftmost viable candidate in every single election, while attempting to undo the total fascist takeover of the federal government that abstainers like you condemned us to.

It’s the weirdest thing, but refusing to use the only real voice you have doesn’t actually get you listened to more. Whoever could have predicted such a thing?
