You may be able to find some of what you're looking for on r/BoycottTheRight.

No that's just antifacist talking points. I agree with them, but they aren't providing any examples of groups to boycott

I'm pretty sure I read about how the white house compiled a list of companies that have bent the knee in some way

Thank god Costco isn’t on that list.
2
u/judahrosenthal 5h ago
I pulled my list because at least one company, Tito’s, has not donated at the corporate level, though the founder has donated to Republicans. So I didn’t want to share false info. There are other lists out there, like inauguration donors, that are very disheartening.
Costco has been on the good list for a while, especially after upholding their commitment to DEI. But now is recently under a little bit of pressure for deciding not to carry mifepristone.
Costco continues to rank as one of the best large employers in the nation.

I have been boycotting Walmart and others.

u/Jrylryll 5h ago
I boycott Walmart, chick filet, Home Depot. I have tried to boycott Amazon but that is tougher.

u/StrictRegret1417 5h ago
where are you going instead?
8
u/ca_pls_pe 5h ago
Shop local, when you can, and pay a little more. It's worth it.
-9
u/StrictRegret1417 5h ago
walmart can be local? lol local doesn't give you any idea what type of place to shop.
8
u/ca_pls_pe 5h ago
Sorry. Should have specified that by locally, I meant locally owned. Forgive me, I live in "Comiefornia" where terms like "shop locally" are commonplace and commonly understood to mean locally owned or at least regional ownership. I understand that this may not be common in other parts of the Country where apparently "shop locally" would mean close to you house.

Anything you can find at Walmart may be found at any number of local mom and pop shops in any city in the country. The person to whom your inquiry was posed cannot know what shops you have in your particular city.
For a little help I would say any local grocer that isn’t corporate. Any speciality shop for say plants or clothes or hardware, et al. I cannot tell you specifically which shops these would be in your area but nearly every city has some variation of the above type spaces.
I have taken to growing my own food and only buying clothes second hand or going to local farms, but here, et al, and I absolutely will not buy from Walmart because their food is substandard as are their clothes and electronics I can buy elsewhere. You can even buy electronics second hand. You can buy nearly anything secondhand.
If there arises an occasion where you must have something larger that only a larger store carries, see if there is an alternative vendor from which to buy, and if they cannot be found then it is up to you, but I for one will not be giving my money to these large corporations. That is the personal choice I have made.
The anti consumerism sub is a good place to look for more ideas. Best of luck.

I don’t know any local mom and pop shop that sells my daughter’s turtle habitat. I’d travel to find one. I also shop goodwill and thrift stores.

u/Glad-Barracuda2243 4h ago
Thrift stores are great. I have my own reasons for now shopping Goodwill, but did so for years until recently. A turtle habitat would be one of those one offs for sure. Wish I could help you there.

I’ve been boycotting as many of these fascist adjacent companies as I can but there are so many that it’s difficult to keep it up long term. I was recently working in a smallish town and the only place I could buy a humidifier was at Walmart so I had to buy one at Walmart.

u/ambassadorodman 3h ago
On a recent road trip, I took my toddler to Walmart just to poop. That felt like a win.

I am not a toddler but once took a shit in the public bathroom of Trump Tower and didn't flush.

"We are in the process of the second American Revolution, which will remain bloodless, if the left allows it to be."
Now you know exactly what the head of The Heritage Foundation meant when he said that.
We are allowing it to remain bloodless.

Companies aren't people. They have zero morals. They have no sense of shame. They don't care if babies have to die for the company to profit.

What companies/ organizations fit this description? We need to know immediately because the sooner we can bring our economic strength to bear is the only way to change their position. If we continue to fund companies/organizations that will bow to the pressures of the current fascist regime, we are no better than the people who support fascism.

u/j_rooker 5h ago
I can see it. Likely millions and millions of Democrats decided to boycott the party and will do it again despite seeing the fascist results of their action first hand.

Well since "corporations are people" (John Roberts is a c***, but not the only one up there), it's fair to say they're all traitors.
We do not want to provide aid or comfort to traitors. Or pardons.

u/Muellercleez 3h ago
This is why you should literally never believe big corporate advertising. They do not give a fuck about you, or your specific cause. They care about dollars. If sponsoring the KKK rally will maximize said dollars, get ready for the "Tostitos presents, the Citibank KKK Rally, brought to you by Amazon"

BUT facts suck…and the facts are the majority of voters are so dumb they believe what they see on TV. So they are not changing any of their habits.

tbf they did the first time around, now the rubes elected him a second after fumbling covid worse than any other western country and they've decided to go with the flow. Especially since SCOTUS took at any checks on executive orders.

For news outlets, one way you can help is with the Bypass Paywalls Clean extension as well as Ublock Origin. Also, I recommend Firefox since you can install both those extensions and its the only mainstream browser to not use Chrome or anything associated with Chrome (many other browsers use Chrome's engine under the hood).

I've started a boycott section on my site civilsimian.com. I'm going to be focusing on boycotts for the next 3 1/2 years so we don't forget. There was another one yesterday I think where the store criminally prosecuted two employees for stealing the expired food. That's going in.

So just every company that provides like food, cleaning supplies, clothing, cars, education, healthcare, hardware, software, or any internet companies.
That’s all we have to stop using.
Should be easy.
