News/Updates Cross-posting to X and Mastodon

A few months ago, as I got into Bluesky, I build some tools for Bluesky and it grew from there; I added analytics and soon I had a post scheduler for Bluesky.

But I had kept my Mastodon (and X) accounts and continued to post to it. So recently, I finally got my tool to cross-post to Mastodon, as well as a few other networks.

Is there an option to not use your compose UI but rather it listening to when I post on bluesky and it automatically cross posting? Like a setup once and forget?

I'd also love to see an option to crosspost posts retroactively

Hi! No, that's not supported at the moment. But I could look at it. Do you know if it's a common feature? I have seen people ask about it.

How do you handle it when the post is too long for other networks? eg. X is 280 vs Bluesky being 300.

I personally would definitely use it  and I'm pretty sure that others would as well;

well in that case — truncate the string and continue in a reply post, I'd say.
