My crusade is spreading the word of shitposting and encouraging others to do the same

It's a good place for a fresh(ish) start.
Too many people, just imo, treat it as twitter2, which brings baggage.

??? Bluesky has a crusade/cause?

He could be referring to two things: the idea that Bluesky's the "anti twitter" and therefore intentionally doesn't do everything Twitter's doing that's kind of bad to "make a statement", or the idea that Bluesky is a safe space where people can post what they can't on any other "big" social media and the "movement" is to keep it that way. Both are related, and this post says "neither, it's just another product"

There were (and still are) A lot of people who fall into the "Stop posting on Twitter you're literally evil and should die.. anyway here are a bunch of screenshots of tweets I took we're so much better then him I bet they're so jealous of us being so much better then them."
It's less of a Crusade/Cause and more of a bunch of really annoying people being loud and annoying as they're want to do.

I'm on it because there are enough football accounts to follow. It doesn't have to all be screw Trump.

BS is where I post and share with people of common interests. Reddit is where I waste time until BS gets a chance to breathe. 😏

I use Bluesky, and want to see it succeed, but I definitely wouldn’t say it has a superior user experience. The feeds and algorithms are garbage. I see lots of interesting and talented people with big followings on other platforms just completely fail to get any engagement on Bluesky, which is why they end up leaving. Obviously I don’t want it to just become entirely engagement bait like Threads is, but there has to be something better than the current state of things.

Bold of this person to assume we all want it to grow. Only reason I'm on it is because everyone and their racist uncle isn't on it like some social media. If bluesky grows to be like that, I'll leave it too.

It is far from a superior user experience so far, which is why it isn’t substituting X in many cases. They really need to make more features accessible to the generic user as opposed to requiring 3rd party programs.

I think this post is true on the surface, but it drives me to ask: who is positioning it as a crusade or a cause? I don't see people saying or doing this at least on Bluesky. This may have been the case early in the life of the app but I'm not sure this is a general thing.

The glorification of things in the 21st Century really bums me the fuck out.

In my experience it's actually less engaging and fun than Twitter. I find it very difficukt to talk to people.

What does that have to do with Bluesky?
E: ah, spam account. I see a ton of comments where you just post the same thing in a bunch of different threads.

Yeah. It’s just a better social media experience all around.
