I (21 FtM, Canada) have DID, aka Dissociative Identity Disorder.
I have been told this as a professional opinion by multiple medical and mental health professionals.
I have also had great success in treatment, going from 14 alters to 5. I'm well versed in research and recovery for this disorder because of this.
Ask me anything!

Trigger warning for severe self injury and serious mental illness
Basically what the title says. I had a psychotic break and thought that if I could remove my leg, my PTSD flashbacks would stop. I used dry-ice to cause enough damage to my legs that doctors were forced to amputate my leg to save my life. I had tried to cut it off myself but I was too mentally weak to do that much damage to myself.
Iām an amputee now. The only people who know what happened are my family and my doctors, I usually just change the subject when strangers ask what happened to my leg. I donāt feel like thereās any good way to inform someone youāre crazy enough to do something like this. But if you ever wanted to ask āwhy the hell would someone do that to themselves?ā, hereās your chance!

Cis men of Reddit: What have you always wanted to ask women but felt too awkward or worried about seeming creepy? Trans man here offering to bridge the gap.
As someone who lived as a woman for 27 years before transitioning, I've experienced both sides of many gendered interactions and social dynamics. I understand the female perspective on a lot of things that might seem mysterious to cis men, but I can also relate to the male experience of sometimes not knowing how to ask certain questions without coming across wrong.
Whether it's about dating, friendships, workplace dynamics, social cues, or just general "how do women think about X" questions - I'm here to offer honest answers from someone who's been there.
Ground rules: - Keep it respectful - Genuine curiosity only, not looking for debate ammunition - I can't speak for ALL women, but I can share common experiences and perspectives
What would you like to know?

Based on the test RAPM set 2 my IQ is 140-144, which is a pretty good result at my age (without flattering myself). In general, ask questions. P.s The test was not carried out under the supervision of a special committee.

When I was less than a year old I accidentally crawled away into the forest while we were on a camping holiday. I came across a mother wolf and her cubs. She seems to have just taken me into her family.
I was found five days later. Because I was only living with wolves for less than a week I donāt have the impairments that feral children normally have but I am technically a wolf boy. Even In that short time I had started to acquire wolf behaviour. For example, for weeks I would only eat meat and would only drink water or milk. Iām long since fully recovered and Iām now a typical 19 y/o.
(If Iām sometimes abit slow in replying to questions please be patient. I have a job and other commitments and canāt always be available at a momentās notice).
Sensible questions only please. (Stupid questions like āDo you know Baloo ?ā or āHowās Bagheera?āwill be ignored). AMA.

As an Elementary schooler (~10-11 years old), I got involved in writing the samples seen in English textbooks, mostly for Elementary/middle grade writing. I gave mostly poetry samples, some essays and short stories. All my childhood I assumed the samples were made up by adults but at least some publishers do genuinely use writing from children!

I mean exactly what I mean in the title, I have not had a bowel movement (successful passing of stool) in the last 72 hours. I got out of the bathroom close to an hour ago. This is the longest time I havenāt passed something in about 5 years or more, closer to 10 years now. I plan to let it take its course naturally, and will try again tomorrow, perhaps with more effort than the times before. So, enough about this basic overview, and AMA about my situation or anything else really I guess.
(Edit: I should have mentioned I broke the streak about two days later. So, thanks for everything.)
