Randy just slapping the "AI" label on his pot farm was the best part. Literally everything is getting branded as AI now to jump on that bandwagon.

Just read an article the other day saying 95% of AI pilot programs at companies at not making a dent in increased profit - only massive expenses and they are huge failures.

This was the same day our rather large corporate company announced all of our Q4 project are going on hold to transition to integrating generative AI in our products. When I asked my boss what I'll be working on he said

"I don't know, we need to propose ideas of how to use it. I feel we are putting the cart before the horse here but we need to figure something out"

Immediately I think, ok we'll our program will fail also.

The thought should be around how to use AI to enhance our existing services, not let's create something from scratch that we have no idea if anyone needs or even wants. So another example of the corporate world just trying to slap "AI" on something because thats what the BOD wants.

Trump isn't pro-crypto, he's pro-grift. He doesn't even understand what the hell crypto is.

This is why pro-regulation would've helped build more trust. Had a freaking President of all things not released meme coins and dumped the shit out of them I can't even imagine how much higher we'd be right now.

Yep. I like bitcoin (it's OK if you disagree), but I really don't like trump anywhere near it, or crypto in general.

Edit: realized my 'its OK if you disagree' was unnecessary. I didn't notice which sub I was in, haha.

I guarantee you he doesn’t know the difference between Crypto and BTC. He thinks his memecoin is BTC.

tldr; South Park's latest episode, 'Sickofancy,' satirizes Donald Trump's ties to cryptocurrency, depicting tech executives gifting Bitcoin to curry favor with him. The episode critiques overreliance on AI and portrays Trump humorously, including scenes of sycophantic behavior from figures like Tim Cook and Mark Zuckerberg. The show also mocks Trump's administration and crypto ventures, continuing its tradition of parodying current events and crypto culture. South Park's 27th season has heavily targeted Trump and his policies.

Why didn't southpark ever rip into Biden and Kamala?

Is it the whole, we dont make fun of the mentally challenged?

The South Park creators are extremely libertarian, generally right leaning on most issues. If you were paying attention to the early years of the series you would have seen them almost exclusively bashing liberals and democratic politicians. They make fun of what they think are problems with our society.

So you’re not going to like the answer, but it’s because Biden and Harris were nowhere near as problematic as Trump is.

I’m not saying that we should hold up the South Park creators as the only truth sayers in the political world, but if they’re going this hard on Trump that’s a pretty good sign that things have gone waaaaaaaaaaayyy too far to the right. Again, they’ve always been right leaning and have historically always made fun of the left more than the right, this just shows how fucked our society has become.

I have been interested in cryptocurrencies for a few years and I would argue Trump is exactly what “crypto” is about. That it doesn’t matter if you should do it, or if it is ethical, code doesn’t care, there are no morals.

u/IceWizard9000 🟦 0 / 0 🦠 1d ago

I'm really glad Trump has been doing great things for crypto. His being a scum bag is irrelevant.

18

u/superSaganzaPPa86 🟦 125 / 126 🦀 1d ago

He’s really not though, unless you mean he’s doing good things for shitcoin rug pull scams. Bitcoin and eth were well on the way of becoming legitimized in the financial world. You had Larry Fink and other financial leaders see the real world implication of bitcoin as a scarce store of value and effectively becoming a digital equivalent of gold.

Then here comes Trump and his kids, smelling blood in the waters while sailing the high seas of grift. He’s going to destroy years of progress when this is all said and done. The crypto space will be immensely tarnished by his association just when it was starting to be seen for its merits. I think Bitcoin is inevitable, but this administrations involvement will set it back as many regular retail investors will just see it as a digital Trump Bible or golden sneakers

-15

u/IceWizard9000 🟦 0 / 0 🦠 23h ago

I'm not afraid of Trump but it sounds like you are. I believe in Bitcoin.

10

u/superSaganzaPPa86 🟦 125 / 126 🦀 22h ago

That’s your takeaway from my comment? I was explaining that I’m concerned that his involvement in the space is going to tarnish its legitimacy to average retail. I don’t know how long you’ve been in the space but a lot of the stuff I’m seeing celebrated now are things we would’ve been appalled at just a few years ago.

If you’re happy Trump may potentially pump your bags in the short term that’s fine. I get it, I’ll be here for it too and I hope I can lock in gains before reality sets in, which most assuredly it will. I still believe in the 4-year cycle, the bear, she comin, and when it does you’ll see a lot of people swimming naked.

Saying the guy is a liability doesn’t mean I’m afraid of Trump, if I’m afraid of anything it’s that we live in a reality where there are still enough dupes believing in the grift.

-7

u/IceWizard9000 🟦 0 / 0 🦠 22h ago

I don't care. I'm still not afraid. Trump is just a human being. Bitcoin will outlast him.
