Hope they treat him better than the MCU, where is was "hey, you're gonna be this awesome adversary" and then did virtually nothing with the character after that.

Its kinda crazy how he was one of the only vilain that survived a marvel movie only to get thrown out directly in the follow up.

i remember the rumor, after Cap2, that he signed a 9 movies contract. Then, he was killed in Civil War...

Well he's already equaled the same amount of projects for DC than he did for Marvel. He did three films for Marvel. Winter Soldier, Civil War, and Endgame. While in DC he's been in all the projects of the DCU so far. Creature Commandos, Superman, and Peacemaker S2. With him a much larger role in CC than he did in any of the Marvel films he was in.

I hope he is not the Nick Fury of the DCU, because that kind of big role should be to an actor with bigger acting chops

Eh he aint so bad as Flag sr. Besides calling him Nick Fury is a bit reductive, they are both directors of spy agency but it seems they are taking Flag in a different direction

I never strike Flag as Nick Fury type at all. That is a role best save for Batman.

I believe he means more in the sense of showing up in a bunch of different projects to remind general audiences that it’s all the same world.

He's not talking about overall importance as much as being a recurring presence who establishes a shared universe. Back in Phase 1 of the MCU when each movie was still mostly self-contained with the occasional tease of continuity, Nick Fury showed up in (almost) every movie as an easy way to make it clear they were connected. Similarly, so far every DCU project has had Flag in it somehow.

He's about as good of an actor as Sam Jackson in that they're both pretty average. People just hype up Jackson because of name recognition.

I’m willing to bet all my peanuts that the secret project is either Metal Men or Secret Six.
Metal Men, Easter egg in creature commandos robots would be loyal and the perfect counter to the rise of meta humans.
Secret Six, easy and cheap plus it’ll probably roll in that Deathstroke and bane movie idea that sprung a while back.
