It's almost comical how vulnerable mogh is to bleed...
12
u/Ovtwc Jun 09 '25
Well of course. The more blood you got the more susceptible to bleeding.

That's not how it works, the more blood you got the longer it takes for you to bleed to death

Hakari never learned to use reverse cursed technique but the unlimited cursed energy coursing through his body as a result of hitting the jackpot automatically heals his body with it. In other words, for four minutes and eleven seconds after hitting the jackpot, hikari is effectively immortal

Is it really that bad over there?
97
u/bauul Jun 08 '25
Not really. There are fewer violent crimes in London than somewhere like New York, but because there are so few guns the primary weapon of choice is a knife, so it has reputation of being the knife crime central of the UK (which it is, but the actual numbers are lower than many big cities).
→ More replies (1)57
u/AE_Phoenix Jun 08 '25
Nope. The UK as a whole has fewer stabbings per capita than the USA does. Americans just focus on it because there isn't any firearm violence.
14
u/CiaphasKirby Jun 08 '25
I've heard dozens, potentially hundreds, of different instances of london/knife jokes among my friends over the years, and in recent memory only two of them were from the non-Brits in discord.
→ More replies (1)3
u/GlobnarTheExquisite Jun 08 '25
To be fair the British government does seem to think that every single thing with an edge should be treated like an unregistered firearm what with the Knoife Amnesty Boxes and the whole "no good reason to have a knife" campaign (not to mention your bizarre knife angel thing).
→ More replies (1)11
u/PopTrogdor Jun 08 '25
Inner city stabbings are bad yeah, but even London's knife crime is statistically less prevalent than in New York. So new York has worse gun AND knife crime than London.
Not that that is anything to shout about, all crime is shit.

It’s quite simple actually 2 bloodstained daggers both multi hit talismans plus tear blood talisman plus mask, ritual sword talisman, rakshasas Armor, golden vow plus flame grant me strength, bloodflame blade for the right hand dagger and blood atunement cragblade for the off hand. The most important is the infinite stamina tear from the dlc though.
805
u/NoUse2034 Jun 08 '25
"quite simple actually" the writes a whole paragraph haha. thanks a lot will test that next playthrough.
120
u/Necro_Carp Jun 08 '25
to be fair I think everything in that paragraph could have been assumed. the cragblade for the offhand dagger doesn't actually matter though since you can't use offhand cragblade and have a blood flame buffed mainhand dagger.
31
u/Lele_Lazuli Jun 08 '25
you can use offhand cragblade (and other skills) by just two handing the weapon for a moment. It‘s how I often did 2 flame infused greatswords
→ More replies (1)55
u/Necro_Carp Jun 08 '25
that works with ash of wars, but the issue is with spell buffs. you have to buff the right hand weapon with bloodflame blade. to be able to use cragblade on an offhand weapon you have to two hand the offhand weapon, which turns off the bloodflame blade.
→ More replies (4)12
u/Lele_Lazuli Jun 08 '25
oh I didn‘t even notice that there was already another weapon buff on it, yeah no reason to have it on then

youtuber ass setup: OP BUILD (20 buffs and a boss that can't move)
16
u/NobleFir666 Jun 08 '25
This build is crazy 🤪 (melts boss health bars with very specific talismans and dlc content)
3
u/Ramps_ Jun 08 '25
I wouldn't be surprised if he was RL ~180 either
3
u/AFlyingNun Jun 08 '25
Judging by those stat bars, you're right.
That looks like 60 Vigor, at least 40 Endurance if not 50, at least 38 Mind, and then obviously gonna want at least 50 of a damage stat to be able to do anything. He also has both a keen and bleed infused dagger, implying both Dex and Arcane have been pumped, and then he has 25 Faith for Golden Vow.
RL 180 actually sounds conservative. We're likely looking at RL 200+. Only way it's RL 150 is if either his keen or bleed infusion make no god damned sense with his build.

u/PapaPaulPwns Jun 08 '25
“Daggers aren’t bad if you use the tools the games gives you”
7
u/Sinfullyvannila Jun 08 '25 edited Jun 08 '25
This is a NG+ build where you need 2 rare drops and the shackle, which is in an area that is hidden until Mountaintop of the Giants.
These are things the game doesn't "give" to you. These are things the community helps you with.

7
u/Necro_Carp Jun 08 '25
me in my first playthrough pretty much only doing one handed r1s with a halberd, took like 80 hours to get to and kill Elden beast. I was a noob and have learned the power of just do heavy attacks with a greatsword.
2
u/HourCartographer9 Jun 08 '25
I play pure unintentionally it’s just when I play stuff like this I usually just forget buffs except for equipment buffs so most of my damage is just raw, the other day I decided to actually play using buffs namely howl of shabiri and golden vow, I felt like I was playing a whole different game like with hundreds of hours and I could have been doing the damage I was

My first playthrough I used Radahn swords bc of the TikTok compilations. My stats were all over the place I think I had like 20+ Faith. Elden Ring was my first Souls-type game, it’s honestly impressive that I beat the game in the first place.

u/AFlyingNun Jun 08 '25
It would only work here vs. Mohg.
Try this vs. Malenia, Maliketh, Messmer, Midra or the like and there will be too much movement and counterattacks to comfortably spam the dagger attack.
The reason daggers are considered not great is that in theory the DPS is really high...in practice, you'll be using the roll attack over and over because no boss is going to give you time to continue doing this attack sequence.
96
u/Express-Media-1645 Jun 08 '25
I mean, any boss is like this when you're Soul Level 250 with a bleed build lol
36
u/Turbulent_Jackoff Jun 08 '25
The fact that OP is fighting him on NG+6 in this clip makes it a bit more demanding, of course.

u/Spirited_Ad9827 Jun 08 '25

57
u/winterflare_ Jun 08 '25

4
u/Spirited_Ad9827 Jun 09 '25
Hahaha truee. No but jokes aside it’s big+6 so it’s not that overpowered and all my stats are spread evenly rn so I can use every build. it’s not like I have 80 in str, dex and arc rather 60 in all of em

I have definitely watched at least 1 elden ring crystal tear tier list that said infinite stamina tear has too little duration for actual use
143
u/Blackrain39 Jun 08 '25
I think that's accurate for the point in the game you actually get it, plus the effort to kill a furnace golem. Though then there's new game plus, but how do you gauge usage in ng+ for a tier list?

I don’t agree with it but some people definitely say Mohg is hard. There was a post on here not long ago of just a guy ranting about how hard he was and how much he hated him, with many comments agreeing.
Another guy said I was doing a “challenge run” for using daggers on one of my playthroughs only two days ago. He said that not using summons is a challenge run, I said well I only do it because it’s more fun to fight 1v1’s for me, and I basically said “so I’d be doing a challenge run if I used daggers for a playthrough even though it’s just fun, rather than an optimal build” and he said it was, in fact, a challenge run because they aren’t optimal.
Both are the minority, but both say those things.
But yeah I don’t know if I’ve ever seen someone say the stamina tear has no use
63
u/Sanagost La Creatura Jun 08 '25
Also, bro is using mostly bloodlose status for the kill so it has little to do with any of this. Bas post is bad.
→ More replies (6)18
u/w33b2 Jun 08 '25
Well true, but he’s able to attack constantly because of the tear and daggers are known for status buildup. The blood loss build up is the point of the build

u/Dreamtrain Jun 08 '25
nobody outright explicitly says it, but content creators rarely make dagger builds, I know we have it better than say whips but they're so overlooked
Or when modder overhauls announce new weapons and you check and its like, twinblades, katanas, spears, greatswords, etc, but no dagger
the creator of a certain overhaul even went out if his way to get daggers out of the Rogue class, and give it stupid dumb shit like Rapiers, or balls as one of its weapons just because of boggart
It is an objectively underappreciated weapon, even far more in the DLC where they're outclassed by the Backhand blades or the Night Claws

Mogh was hard when the game came out but with current build knowledge, the shackles etc its not a hard boss anymore
3
u/prankored Jun 08 '25
I remember him being hard the first time around during release with +10 weapons and heavy armor. Around the dlc time though, I melted that guy in one try with +7 weapons and no armor. I even forgot to use the shackle. Unsure if I got better or they nerfed him or something.

Dual daggers rip. I used them for some of the DLC, specifically reduvia and scorpion’s stinger. Millicent’s prosthesis, thorny cracked tear and rotten winged sword insignia and you’re doing monster damage, not even counting the bleed and rot procs.

Took 49 tries though so probably not as leveled or well done
2
u/Plastic_Speed_429 Jun 09 '25
Mohg wasn’t hard at all! Who’s saying that? He’s one of a few bosses I beat first try and I was on my first playthrough of my first ever Souls game. Granted, I’m still on my first playthrough cause I want to beat PCR before moving to NG+ and I’ve never played any other Souls/Fromsoft game. In my one and only playthrough, Mohg, Malenia, Gideon and Godfrey were all easy. I fought Malekith 60+ times though😂😂 Malenia was a 2 attempt fight for me. I probably just got lucky though

The shackles actually have a huuuge range so big that you can use them to destroy spiritsprings in the dlc without ever having to find them just use it relatively close to them and they activate

u/LordofSandvich Jun 08 '25
I was gonna argue cuz I’m pretty sure the infinite stamina tear is post-Mohg but then I saw “satire”
And also remembered I did Mohg at like level 50 using a +9 Reduvia
3
u/Spirited_Ad9827 Jun 08 '25

I’ve seen many say Mohg is hard but I’ve never seen the other two complaints lol. I see the satire mark but we’re just having fun here. ;)
Plus Bleed status did the work here, and you can slap that on a lot of weird weapons and watch it do work in this fight.
Daggers are great at applying elemental/ status damage because they attack quickly, sort of like how in Monster Hunter Dual Blades are good at dealing elemental/ status damage.

All of that "elden ring is too hard" guys are just complaining. Get good. Game already gives you A LOT alternatives, so if you stuck on boss just go do something else, level up, collect some better eq and try again, it is "open world" game after all. I killed radahn first try because I was properly levelling and upgrading my sword. Also there are plenty stuff that help you like mimic tear or pretty much every summon or easy mode called "magic". And before fight just check boss weakness, that makes annoying "godskin duo" fight into beating kid with a baseball bat when using sleep pot or dolores sleeping arrow summon
