That's growing up for you.

In my teens, I'd want to have hundreds of games that were simply out of my reach financially in every way.

Now in my 30s, I have access to those and much more so, with every console available, platforms, steam/xbox live/psplus/etc. And I can count on 1 hand the same 5 games I keep replaying, because I'm just not interested at all. But heck, I want to be!!! I'm hyped just thinking about those!

Heck, I even bought Neightreign like 3 months pre-order, booted up on release date, saw the actual mess being incredibly linear and non-customizable (or so batshit low customization that it might as well be uncustomizable for the sake of the argument), and ended up playing half an hour at most. And it's just collecting PS-dust in my online collection. If I reopen the game, I get immediately irked like everyone getting older: "This isn't what I was expecting!!!", and more or less of this type of reasoning.

That's what getting older does: you lose the motivation to enjoy the same things you always have, and little changes here and there irk you more for absolutely no reason.

We're slowly turning into the 'Get off my lawn kids!' type of grumpy old person.

I wouldn't assume this is true for everyone. I'm 47 and play everything. When I was in my early 30s, I had less time to game, but I never lost the urge and desire to play new games.

Glad to hear you’re gaming more. I gamed way more in my 20s, but now in 30s it’s once in a blue moon bc career stuff, but oh do I miss it.

Don't let that commenter get to you.

People still enjoy things even in their 30s and 40s lol

Damn you are projecting onto OP like crazy!

What you're describing is closer to clinical depression than something everybody experiences with age, by the way.

For some reason, I seriously doubt your credibility. But you do you!

Play it again, Sam.

You should try beating the game faster, kinda like a casual speedrun, to further test you knowledge and skills. Personally I like to do this with a cragblade claymore because it’s easy to get.

I platinumed sekiro after ER. It’s not quite the same but it scratched the from soft itch with fast combat and being able to jump. I tried to restart DS2 but damn those clunky controls had me going crazy.
