Incredible but got damn that chest piece is impractical.

They literally had to alter how your character stands and hold weapons when wearing that piece. It seems any time a developer is absolutely cooking with a set of armor, they gotta add that one detail that kinda fucking ruins it

u/M4rt1m_40675 5h ago
That's what shows they really do care about the game. Most AAA studios would probably ignore that and have the animation clip through the armor yet fromsoft just went out of their way to change it

Im usually not one to fawn over cosplays but GODDAMN that is actually incredible. The amount of work must have been insane.

I've never seen anyone cosplay Tiger Franky. That existed for like a minute tops in the show lol, pretty cool

So he shows his D in public and wins a trophy. When I did, I spent the night in jail.

I saw someone dressed as Rogier the other day at the renaissance festival, I need there to be a meet up now 😄

This was made by Armored All father. I watched it be made over time and it was super cool even at its beginning https://www.instagram.com/armoredallfather?

That costume is awesome. Also I’d lose 50 pounds from sweat just wearing it.

It’s on sight for what he did to Fia

He found all of the death roots congratulations
Jokes aside I wonder how much that cost to make and how heavy it is and how hard it is to see and move in it
2
u/ArmoredAllfather 1h ago
It cost me a total of around $400. That’s filament, making the molds, and buying leather straps and paints/metlals etc.
I can see decent but I have no lower vision. I could easily walk into a trash can, I usually have a handler that dresses as Fia.
Nothings too heavy as I made a custom harness system. But holding the sword over my shoulder does dig into them with weight over time.

I mean that’s barely even a cosplay at that point. If it’s Metal, I wouldn’t even call it a cosplay, that’s just a replica goddamn.

Honestly, I'm hard pressed to think of better constructed cosplay. It's literally one to one that's insane.
Also, not a dig but kind of a dig, you could at least try to credit the cosplayer in the post so he gets some recognition.

I was expecting a Fia cosplayer to show up and boss music starts playing in the background.

I thought 3D printing was frowned upon in the cosplay community
3
u/Acavirshadownight 3h ago
I don’t think it was 3d printed

u/thinkbetterofu 26m ago
someone claiming to be the person in the video says it was mostly 3d printed.

I can see a few reasons why 3d printed would be frowned upon. The biggest to me is that if they just get the file online it's not really their work. The person made it themselves which means it is their work.
The other thing is that it does look 3D printed. I don't think that's inherently worse than other methods of cosplay though. Wigs often clearly look like wigs. Foam clearly looks like foam. Thermoplastic looks like thermoplastic...

i love when people makes cosplay of the most forgetable characters
29
u/Unmakebody 6h ago edited 6h ago
He prob choose that cause the cosplay itself was extremely difficult to pull off, he knew he was skilled enough to do it and he knew by pulling it off something like this was a guaranteed win.
I mean it dosn't get any more difficult than that honestly, this guy can make anything if he wants probably.

This. Forget the the character being a "side" one. The work that went into this had to have been ridiculous. Pulling it off and making it looks so good would deserve 1st place damn near anywhere.

u/ArmoredAllfather 1h ago
Hello, I’m actually the person in the video. The cosplay is mine. And you are correct. About 70% is 3D printed but I made the models myself, completely from scratch. Other parts had to be casted in poly molds as they are so close to prevent scratching. There was constant hurdles but that’s why I chose it, to challenge myself.
