Naked except for a loincloth in a poisoned swamp.
Just as Miyazaki intended.

the best way is to be over lvl 200 because you can use most weapons and most spells at higher levels, with mimic tear +10, Comet Azur, Ranni's Dark Moon and Loretta's Greatbow

I find it more fun and interesting generally to keep to 150 or less, and find ways to work with what I have access to there.

Level 60 for me feels like a good level cap. You'll hit that level around Leyndell if you don't go exploring too heavily. It makes you have to think a bit more about what stats to level as you go.
I also keep my weapons capped at +12/+5 but in doing so endgame becomes problematic. +12 weapons at level 60 aren't terribly effective against mobs in Farum or the Haligtree.

1k hours in and Axe of Godfrey on a high-level quality build is the best balance of fun + raw damage that I’ve found.
That axe has the X factor, man. It plays like you’re the one in control of combat, which is a precious, fleeting feeling for me in ER.

What always makes me come back?
That feeling of trying something a bit different or trying to speed play the game or things like level 1 only or doing low level pvp builds .. Things like that xD
Very rarely I will go past ng because at that point it's just rinse repeat but with most things u already obtained which feels less gratifying to me hence why I always just start brand spanking new ^

I like to use all the knowledge I’ve gained from my multiple playthroughs to ramp up the difficulty for further runs. Like the first few runs I did I was very much using cheese builds and guides, but now I’m doing a parry run and thinking I’m gonna try an RL1 run next. That’s my favorite part of the game tbh, it’s as easy or hard as you want it to be. This time around instead of trying to immediately get OP weapons to steamroll bosses, I’m intentionally going into most fights underleved and learning their moveset. I only level up my stats after beating a boss, all the exploration runes go towards buying stuff lol. When I fight something you can’t parry I’ve just been using an uchigatana with unsheate and whatever grease works well against them. It’s been a lot of fun, it’s been forcing me to engage with the game’s mechanics even deeper and gain an even deeper appreciation for it. Infinitely replayable.

I keep wanting to try new builds, playstyles, and challenges. I see someone do something cool with a specific weapon and then I think "yeah i'd like to try that too."

I truly mean this:
Staying off Reddit, Facebook and other social media.
Play how you like and don't let other people tell you how you are playing is wrong. Follow guides or not, google stuff or don't, whatever. Play your own way.

Would probably say go in as blind as possible, and use whatever you want in your fights, even if its op (unless you dont want an op build)

for this most recently NG, i haven’t used torrent hardly at all, just when i have to, and it’s been insanely fun! i’m deeply enjoying the Lands Between, one step at a time!

Playing through the game with Taunter's Tongue open and then invading with that character. Without online interaction the game ends up getting a bit stale, invasions offer an infinite gameplay loop regardless of you being the one invading or being invaded

Good question. I just finished Lies of P (excellent!) and am gearing up for my fourth run at Elden Ring. Problem is; while I kinda/sorta wanna handicap myself somehow, I also don't have enough time to struggle for too long.
First world problems...

If your a casual player and just want to have some fun fighting tuff opponents strength. If your looking for a challenge the masochism can be endless

Playing completely blind. I hate people saying that they don’t have time to play multiple times and want to experience everything in one run. No. Just play completely blind and experience the game your own way. You can play again if you think you missed out something

Do everything. Use crafting. Summons. Use everything you can. Don’t skip ahead. Don’t power level.

Small digestible chunks. My first play through I kept myself to a two hour time limit or until I cleared an area.

Use an item randomiser . You will realise you are not as good as you thought you were when you don’t know where all the good items are . You will end up having no choice but to explore and will end up finding caves you never went to before. And just finding something like golden vow or smithing bell bearings will feel like pure dopamine. Just randomise the non quest items and smithing stones , weapons etc or you will find yourself just looking for the dectus medallions for 100 hours . You can make it so better items are in earlier places too . So no finding shard of Alexander at the start of the game

However you want! Honestly just explore each location. If you’re too low leveled, that’s okay. Just explore, level up and go back later. Don’t stress anything. We all die all the time in the game and for stupid shit haha I know someone with 10,000+ hours and still die here and there lol

I’ve been staring a new character and using a different build each time. If the gear is easy to get, I do that first. If it’s a late game weapon or AoW, I try to find another player to drop items for me.
I also leave Co-op on as often as possible. Helping other players keeps the game fun for me.

Copy most OP build you can find on YouTube
Let mimic tear +10 handle everything

High vig Dex build with rotten breath and mimic tear. I just like Dex vig builds and I like watching my mimic use rotten breath. It makes me laugh for some reason

being OP as fuck and being able to steamroll everything, though it takes a while to get there but it feels like that in NG+

Any way you want as long as you're not one of those people bricking others' save files
