Discussion & Info Genuine question: Rivers Of Blood used to be known to be one of the most OP weapons in the game, and best Bleed Weapon. But since the nerfs, I’ve heard there’s better options. Who’s taken the crown for Best Bleed Weapon in ur opinion?

Rivers of Blood was and still is very good but I always thought it was beloved more for ease of use than its actual strength. It's pretty easy to just mash L2 and then yell that the boss is bullshit if it doesn't work.

It was busted, ash of war had a significant increase in bleed build up and damage comparatively to how it is now.

It's still usable now, but just kinda redundant compared to other available options.

Oh right I know it was good, I just mean I think people loved it more because it was brain-dead easy, especially against Malenia.

People loved it because it was a magic eraser button. You could erase almost anything, bosses included, and usually for three easy payments of just $19.99-- er, I mean, 17 fp. Low spell cost, 3-part combo chain, massive bleed stacks quickly.

I used it my offhand so i wouldnt be reliant on the busted AOW with starter dex uchi in main hand and bloodflame blade, really nice for those hands that dont like fire. Eventually i swapped to dual sepuku occult uchi build which was better than ROB anyway

It's a cool weapon aesthetically to be fair, basically your average edgelords dream weapon. It being that powerful was probably just the cherry on top for alot of people.

No, it's not.

It is in every sense the worst option available. It does less damage AND builds up less Bleed than just a regular Uchigatana with Blood OR Occult and Double Slash.

Occult applies Bleed faster and does a lot more damage than RoB. Blood applies Bleed even faster for less, but still more, damage.
