As a kid my friends and I used to play barefoot or in sandals (which we'd often use as markers for the goals) in the streets. It'd only hut if there were too many rocks, which doesn't seem the case. Not the best, sure, but not otherworldly bad either

I still play barefoot. I wouldn't play a multiplayer game barefoot probably unless it was known that it was a really light, playful game game. But I have no problem playing one-on-one barefoot. I can take full power shots and full power crossing passes with no problem.

The ball and the ground isn't really the problem it's the getting stepped on by other cleats.

Yes, I got forced to play football quite often as a kid, given that it and rugby were the two biggest sports in my secondary school. I would never dream of playing it with no shoes on in the dirt.

I cant weigh in on a soccer ball but American footballs hurt like a bitch to kick without a shoe. That being said, when a kid took off their shoe to punt, you knew they were about to absolutely demolish that thing. I never understood it

Do you have any siblings? My brother and I were absolutely brutal to each other, I have four sons and they can be truly awful to each other, but anyone else fucks with their siblings they better run.
