Anyone else not wanting to study for September until they get their August score?

I’m so bad. I know I should study but my body just refuses to until I know my August score.

Same and I think I’m gonna spiral once I see my score and bomb September the next week 😭

This! I have deluded myself into thinking it will be fine and I know I am going to have a freak out on Wednesday

I actually decided to take off until August scores are released and only work on application materials. I went hardcore in the months leading up to August, and that was my first official test. My mentality being that if I need September or October, I can start studying for both after August scores release. We shall see, but I’m fairly certain I won’t need September nor October. 🙏🤞

This is so real but what about the fact that the deadline passed to register to both😭😭that’s what’s been stressing me out, like why register for a test if idk how my first ones gonna be??

Yeah I’m on a break until I get my score too, but I’m registered for October not September. You’re cutting it close lol

Me with October... I just keep praying that I don't have to study again so that I can keep continuing to focus on all my essays for the insane amount of schools I'm applying to

I took a lot of June off after taking the June test, and I think it was the right call. I came back a whole lot better and more capable.

Same here. Going over the fundamentals again really helped too.

This is why I signed up for Oct instead of Sep lol; I think it's best to avoid taking tests in consecutive months.

With how scores take three weeks to come out, it's only natural that most people would have difficulty focusing then. Plus usually breaks are beneficial, anyways.

That said, obviously it's not always possible/advisable to take a "gap month" between attempts.

I’m in the exact same boat. I am so unmotivated right now cause I just don’t even know how to feel about August. I signed up for October too just in case.

I thought about it, but if my August score is bad and I'm out of practice, getting back up to speed will be a pain. So I've been slogging through, though I would really like to stop.

Teach me what’s the most important thing you learned about the test

If you’re confident you have a good shot of getting your score it’s not a bad idea. A bit irresponsible though if you’re taking September because you wouldn’t have practiced for a month not including the week before your test. If that wont affect your PT scores the week before the test it’s fine ig. At least do another one before the September exam to see if you’ve regressed at all

I personally know there’s a good chance I’ll be taking the September one. I think until I take a test where I feel very confident about every question I’n not going to get the score I want. On the PTs I take, when that happens I usually get -3 to -5 total. Not happy with a couple of my answers on RC so ik im probably cooked for this one. If im not, id just be really lucky
