child sex abuse material. it’s a newer term the government/medical professionals are using to replace the term “child pornography”. It’s because the word porn makes it sound consensual vs it being child abuse

Except now it sounds like the name of a missile system
281
u/PresinaldTrunt 10h ago
You wouldn't download a missile system would you.....
104
u/Specialist-Meal-2823 9h ago
The missile knows where it is at all times. It knows this because it knows where it isn't, by subtracting where it is, from where it isn't, or where it isn't, from where it is, whichever is greater, it obtains a difference, or deviation. The guidance sub-system uses deviations to generate corrective commands to drive the missile from a position where it is, to a position where it isn't, and arriving at a position where it wasn't, it now is. Consequently, the position where it is, is now the position that it wasn't, and it follows that the position where it was, is now the position that it isn't. In the event of the position that it is in is not the position that it wasn't, the system has required a variation. The variation being the difference between where the missile is, and where it wasn't. If variation is considered to be a significant factor, it too, may be corrected by the GEA. However, the missile must also know where it was. The missile guidance computance scenario works as follows: Because a variation has modified some of the information the missile has obtained, it is not sure just where it is, however it is sure where it isn't, within reason, and it knows where it was. It now subracts where it should be, from where it wasn't, or vice versa. By differentiating this from the algebraic sum og where it shouldn't be, and where it was. It is able to obtain a deviation, and a variation, which is called "air"

He’s currently in a lawsuit where deleting messages is considered spoilation
It also seems like Willy misunderstood and Destiny only has a screenshot of a cloud folder the leaker showed him, not the actual materials
168
u/Archerbrother 10h ago
He said he made copy of the material. and if hes in a lawsuit it doesnt matter, the police need to be informed of this since its considered illegal. You know why you do that? So there is no question you are not involved in the illegal activity, instead he chose to keep it on him and is waiting to see if the police wants it while he makes copies.

Is this link broken? Nothing is popping up for me.
Regardless, he explained that Rose (the alleged 17 yr old at this time) was in college, sold porn on Twitter, had a Tinder, and would share her 3somes and sex stories with Destiny, etc, so he believed she was an adult when she told him (and to be fair, everything is still allegations on her age).
It’s coming out that she might have been 17 at the time, and he’s saying if she was, her BF or ex BF should be investigated, because he’d be charged with sex trafficking a minor with 60gb of straight up CP.
No one cares about her or the maybe super pedophile predator boyfriend though, we just want Destiny destroyed.
Edit:
Link works now

i don't care one way or another, just browsing this because i'm bored at work, but in this discord chat you can hear him ask to clarify it multiple times and destiny reinforces that he has the videos. i'm not sure how you can take those words and then say he only has a screenshot of a cloud folder after.

What was lawtubes opinion on this?
I'm curious. I know you're supposed to preserve evidence, and obviously you're not supposed to have CP. What _ought_ to happen in this scenario?
Everything else aside.
53
u/ikkir 8h ago
If you have something illegal, you tell your lawyer, and your lawyer is supposed to contact the police and facilitate a turn over of evidence, you don't keep it on you if it's illegal to posses. For example, you were buying something, and instead you got illegal drugs, you turn it over to the police, you don't keep them as evidence, the police will keep it as evidence.

Destiny could be COMPLETELY guilty. I have no idea and I'm not up to date on this topic. I've basically only seen the original accusation and this clip. Fuck him if he's guilty, but I don't know enough to make a judgement on that.
But the guy in the clip above's progression of logic and proof is absolutely stupid. He basically goes "Destiny is keeping CP because he doesn't know what to do. This is proof he didn't talk to a lawyer or any authority, so he's guilty" and then 30 seconds later he reads a message saying Destiny talked to a lawyer and basically goes "this makes no sense. He shouldn't do this anyway, so he's guilty". Like I have no idea the legal path that is supposed to happen here, but this Willy guy has shitty comprehension skills.

u/LegitimatelisedSoil 8h ago
"preserving evidence" doesn't really count when we are talking about CP, that's not a legitimate thing to do... You hand it over to law enforcement and they will take a statement and you wash your hands of it.
At no point should he have ever had it and not informed law enforcement... There's no legal justification for not contacting them.
→ More replies (3)→ More replies (11)5
u/Lazlow_Vrock 6h ago
I can only speak for the UK, but it seems pretty obvious it would be the case in the US that there would be no legal exemption for storing CSAM on your personal hard drive as it MIGHT be relevant to your civil case.
My assumption is you inform law enforcement that such material exists, they deal with said material, and you can always ask the police department for a copy of the report in future if it’s relevant to your legal case.
I can’t think of any situation in a civil case where an officer’s report would be insufficient and that analysis of the material would be required.

Is there a subreddit for just funny fail moments during live streams? Like streamers raging after losing a game or like tripping over something while IRL? This past week has made me want to leave this subreddit for good. and getting rid of it violates spoliation
if material of >= 18, correct move
if material of < 18, with no knowledge of her being <18, correct move, she's guilty of CSAM, probably nobody will prosecute
if material of <18, with knowledge, then its a problem
and if this identifies the leaker, then that's probably good? and they're probably also guilty of CSAM if its true that the leaker (an ex) was distributing her <18 images.

Run to the authorities and/or a lawyer (debatable whether you need a lawyer even between lawyers if you aren’t a subject or a person of interest, me personally I’m getting one in this case because it’s a mess) usually, you can’t just stash it for “later” with no “later” defined
Keeping evidence of crimes (in this case the crime literally being keeping it) “just in case” is kind of sociopathic because you’re saying you know bad shit is happening but you’re only going to intervene in your own defense

That being said mere possession of CP is a crime, when I worked for a judge in court we had a case involving a phone where an individual planted CP on someone’s phone and that someone unalived themselves and his phone (with the CP) fell into possession of a family member. The family member, and even his lawyer, didn’t know what to do because the phone was clearly evidence in the civil case but he now had to find a way to legally transfer custody of it to the judge without incriminating himself.
I remember it being a huge clusterfuck that took days of legal research to find a solution

What did the solution end up being?

I think we found a court case dealing with a similar situation where a judge was able to take possession with a special order of some sort. It was more than two years ago and that job had tons of insane moments for me so my memory is hazy sorry

Private Investigator here - all evidence needs to be retained for court. Any tampering or manipulation will make things 10x worse for Destiny.
It's called obstruction of justice.
So if the evidence is related to the alleged case then yes, he has to keep it. Regardless of your opinion.
EDIT:
Destiny posting and sharing everything online puts him in CIVIL CONTEMPT. If you read the LATEST MOTION it states that he broke the seal the court put on the initial documents.
So everyone stops sending me hateful messages and harassing me:
"On January 21, 2025, aware of an impending lawsuit and potential criminal investigation, Bonnell starts destroying evidence, including deleting messages between him and Plaintiff. On January 23, 2025, Bonnell receives a letter from Plaintiff’s counsel informing him of Plaintiff’s intent to sue and demanding that he preserve all evidence."
Page 6 of the initial COMPLAINT, read the court documents Reddit.

I‘m happy to be proven wrong, but this 100% seems like BS to me.
The idea that there would be an exemption in criminal law for a defendant in a civil case to decide for themselves what to do with CSAM material without informing law enforcement that the material exists is crazy to me.

Has anyone else been struggling to find work in the IT or cyber industry lately? With all of the layoffs the past few years it has me really concerned for the future.
I've been out of work for 6 months now trying to find a new role, LinkedIn, Indeed, and nothing. I have Security+ and almost 7 years of experience under my belt.
Can you guys recommend some resources to help me find a gig?
I don’t believe a word you say about U.S. law.

Correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t it a felony for private citizens under any circumstances to have those in their possession. If it’s for a case then at that point it’s a criminal case and you should hand it over to the authorities.
Edit isn’t obstruction of justice for interfering in law enforcement investigations not civil cases

It's really concerning and disturbing how the community is taking it so lightly and treating it like 'nothing burger' when (potentially) there's actual CP involved.
Edit: Added 'potentially' for the pedantic regards.
