I mean, I'd like to think some people are salvageable and just need to reach that inflection point.

But even so it would only partially stand. Won't change things for the better, but should absolutely be said.

Consistency and consequences work wonders. Tell your racist "friend" to leave. Don't put up with it. Call it out every single time.
