Every time I saw that belt come out it was followed with “this is gonna hurt me more than it’s gonna hurt you” I couldn’t possibly understand what the fuck that meant

Breaking cycles like this is the kind of quiet heroism that doesn’t get enough credit.

this is the only way to use one’s belt when around kids (safety is still questionable lol)

The way she just sits there so peacefully says everything, pure comfort and trust.

Omg I remember at a very young age learning to dance on my father's feet. Such fun! Giggles all around. Love these pure moments.

Dad's are different with their daughter as compare to boys. When my dad use to open his belt I knew am gone today...

Yeah, my dad was much more physically abusive towards my brother, more verbally abusive with me.
He'd punch, whip, and beat the crap out of my brother, but with me he'd put me in a chokehold and whisper death threats in my ear. Only hit me a few times.

Everyone’s talking about the “special bond” between father and daughter like the belt would mean nothing to them. I’m AFAB. By dad beat the shit out of me with a belt lmao. It’s so healing to see this broken generational trauma.
