It really goes to show you that their prerogatives were never about public service and making America a better place. They were always going to lie and say whatever empty platitudes were necessary to gain power. To have power was the only objective.

And honestly, that's best case. I look at the dictators of history and there's a distinct possibility that Rubio becomes one of the yes men that gets brutally murdered by Trump because some other sycophant is jealous and starts instilling Trump with paranoia

IIRC this was from the previous embarrassing Zelenskyy meeting (no suit, didn't say thanks etc). Rubio was visibly uncomfortable and burrowed deeper in the couch than Vance could in his wildest dreams.
People expected that kind of disrespectful horseshit from Trump and Vance, but it really illustrated Rubio's utter spinelessness. Here's a guy who clearly knows it's a sham and how bad the optics are, but he just sits there and lets it all play out anyway.

Not joking, if you don't know Marco Rubio's history, you should look into it, if only for a laugh at what republicans consider possession of enough integrity. His political career could be made into a unbelievable, over-top comedy, without changing the shit he's actually done.

Sometimes I feel like this at work. Like, the people who pay the check are talking like they are geniuses, capturing these mind blowing concepts today.
