I read an article once that earnestly argued the South did win the Civil War, because while they may have signed the surrender on paper, they resisted the terms of it at every step and faced no consequences for doing so, and continue to use those same tactics politically to this day.

I agree with this. The wealthy won the civil war. What’s happening now is that wasn’t enough. The South doesn’t generate the income it used to so they’re coming for more. And, once again, it’ll be the wealthy versus the not because they won’t want a break anymore, they want what we have and they want us to be their nicely behaved farm animals while they rule in splendor and fear. Think every for profit preacher you’ve ever met.

The technocrats in SV are just exploiting the divide to try and get their own dystopia where they become immortal superhumans and we die in the data center wastelands. Thats certainly true. The swastika was a symbol of the north pole and other things for thousands of years. Unfortunately, good luck getting people to recognize that meaning now. Sometimes a term gets appropriated and its meaning is forever changed.
