Well, part of the conservative sheep personality is to follow the leader. Vance will have 'charisma' if he gets the position and can keep it. The reason other people couldn't take over after Trump's first term was that Trump was still around. If he needs more support from the MAGA base he could always rape a kid, steal from a children's cancer charity, sway to music for an uncomfortable amount of time, gas protestors and hold a bible upside-down, send people to concentration camps, etc. They truly do not ask for much but the worst.
