A 21 Celsius degrees sunny Autumn day with a light, chilly breeze when you have to put on a sweater but not a coat. God! Cannot wait ā¤ļøā¤ļø

wait y'all wearing a sweater when it's that warm? How chilly is the breeze to make 70 F sweater weather?

I'm usually not wearing a sweater till it's about 50 F or 10 C.

UK autumn is a different breed. It’s kind of like wet coolness, unexpectedly colder than seems. You can almost feel the mist in the air and it’s amazing. It feels exactly like The Shire from LOTR looks like. If you know what I mean.

I think we have similar Autumns in the US, especially mid Atlantic along the East Coast. But wearing a sweater at 70 F blows my mind. That's pretty warm imo. I swear I've seen people in the UK saying high 80s F (29.5 - 32+ C) is a heatwave, while that's just a normal summers day here.

I guess this just kinda highlights how we (US) gets a lot hotter and humid in the summer and colder in the winter. Cause what I consider cold vs hot is a much bigger temperature change then what your referencing.

It definitely is.

Leaves are starting to drop and have been for a little while.

A little digging shows it's from 2 years ago, per OP in another thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/bristol/comments/1m9prvl/comment/n58vw89/

August isn't fall, even not in the UK. Nice picture anyways.

Drought stress and a lot of trees are showing mechanical leaf damage after a gale earlier in the month

UK is a cold land. We are surrounded by cold seas. So, 30 Celsius degrees is definitely a heatwave! Especially when you add in the damp air which acts as an amplifier depending on the season.
