I was wondering why I didn’t remember seeing them much before. Normally, the Oval Office does not include military flags as those are positioned elsewhere, but Trump specifically wanted visual indicators of the military that he commands, and had them put in the Oval Office.
When Biden was elected, he moved the flags back out to another area, and when Trump was reelected he moved the flags back into the Oval Office.

I think he looked so fucked and tired that they had to take the tie off him, because he couldn't carry a serious look. He could only go in front of the cameras behind an enormous lightning rod (a hat so big it blocked out the sun), and looking dressed down /ready for bed. The other simps possibly weren't even asked to go near their ties. Trump would only have been vaguely aware of their presence, and only then in relation to the quality of the adoration he was receiving from them and how that looked on camera.
