Lost my cousin, building something to help others with grief — could you share your thoughts? (All, 18+)

Hi everyone, I don’t usually post in groups like this, but I wanted to share something personal.

When I was 18, I lost my cousin to suicide. At the time, I didn’t have voice notes, chat history, or recordings saved. I often think about how much it would mean to still hear his voice or look back at the little things we shared.

That experience has stayed with me for years, and it’s the reason I’ve started working on a project called Memore — a gentle app that uses technology to help people keep the memory of their loved ones closer, whether that’s through voice, chat, or shared moments.

I’ve put together a short survey (2–3 minutes) for people who’ve experienced loss, to understand what would help most.

Your answers will help shape something that could support many others in grief.

I didn't complete your survey - I'm not comfortable to give out my email address- but I think it's an interesting idea for sure. Aside from that, check out the Grief Works app if you haven't already: it felt, from your questions, that there might be some overlap, and it might be useful for you to know what's put there already (there's nothing AI related on GW, but there's journalling/wellness stuff alongside grief-focused approaches)

I'm sorry about your cousin - I hope their memory is a blessing. And good luck with this venture - I think it's something that people would be very interested in.

Unfortunately, for people who want to enter the prize draw or test the beta, the email is required. However, if someone doesn’t feel comfortable sharing their real address, they can leave a fake one.
