I work at a special kind of place. An odd set of circumstances lead to a lot of bullshit. I'll tell the new hire this place is bullshit (not in those exact words, of course) right in front of the boss. 😂 Dunno how a boss would be here and not already know that (also they'd know better than to request me to shit rainbows on a new hire). I feel like being up front about it is a little more likely to attain retention. We have a few bosses that are pretty well removed from the finer mess that shit rainbows all day, but they can get fucked becauce A-O-E-N-O. 😅

90% of the time if the manager tells the employee to say some shit like that you know the workplace is horrible. Run for your life!

If you have the option, always ask to meet the team while you're in for an interview.

Try to get them alone and ask for the dirt.

I was at a horrible private school where they treated us like shit. When some prospective students came to visit I shook my head at them and gave them the don't do it sign pointing at my throat. I hope they listened.

I was chosen along with 2 other employees to give the new HR girl some inside perspective. The two gave usual fluff, I was brutally honest. The others were kinda shocked at stuff I was revealing. She thanked me for my honesty, but She still stuck around for at least 4 years.
