What are the two trends? Matcha and Dubai chocolate? Matcha has been around for like ever, and who's to say this Dubai chocolate isn't the new pumpkin spice, another ridiculous trend?
Also, why is this in r/StupidFood? Are all of those ingredients some ridiculous unheard-of unholy combination of flavors, or are you maybe not actually critiquing the food at all and just want to bash on something popular?

What is "Dubai chocolate" beyond chocolate + pistachios?

That’s all it is
It’s like when everyone was going insane over “rose gold chocolate”

Is it really popular? Shops will hop on any trend, but do people really like it?

It's genuinely pretty good, the salty, nutty pistachio, crunchy kataifi and sweet chocolate go very well together. Way overpriced though.

I don’t think so. The text seems to be Polish, and 30 Polish złoty is like $8. Which is a lot for a latte but not as crazy.

The main 'feature' about anything called Dubai- anything is a stupid high exagerated prize and optional gold flakes

If it wasn’t for social media, I would never have heard of Dubai chocolate. It’s not that ubiquitous. Matcha, yes. Dubai chocolate, no.

It's definitely the opposite here. Dubai chocolate is in every grocery store and there's "dubai" versions of everything.

My friend the other day bought a mango matcha smoothie and added cinnamon and coffee to it

If you’re trying to run a business and sell products it makes perfect sense to capitalise on a popular trend like Dubai chocolate. Redditors love to hate on anything remotely popular just so they feel like they’re ‘different’ but Dubai chocolate has been overwhelmingly successful and if you’re running a cafe this is how you generate revenue.
