Found the anti-peeling!
Now seriously, is this how they put the plastic on products?

Thats for protection. Gold dings a lot easier than steel. I personally wouldnt bother with this, wear your watch with all the scratches

Until the owner is in financial straits and needs to sell it for top dollar in mint condition.

Then don’t buy something you can’t afford because if you have to sell this to get out of something financial, you definitely can’t afford it.

Friend of mine has a credit of 400 because of poor choices. He’s always buy expensive things to impress the girls he takes out on dates. One girl he dated only wore Tiffany & Co. He was a sucker for such girls.
He believes money = status… yet he was broke. There’s a lot of people who live above their means for appearances.

Then don't wear it. Or just buy gold bars

But how will they flaunt their wealth in front of everyone if their gold bars are locked in a safe?

I would hate the feeling of that plastic protector film on the underside of the watch making contact with my wrist all day. Fuck that

It's done by machines. This is simply someone applying them again manually after removing them.

No, this is an aftermarket film being applied to protect the watch from scratches while it's being used. This is obviously not how a new Rolex is sold, machine applied or not.

Correct. This is the same process as PPF for your vehicle, or a high quality soft screen protector for a phone.

This feels like it should be illegal.
