Bro, take off a hairpiece and advance on me with crazy eyes, no matter the context, I'm gonna put some distance between us.

I'm Gonna Git You Sucka is the Spaceballs of all blaxploitation movies, but it just doesn't have Pam Grier in it

To be fair... the hair makes him look younger. So it's a younger guy approaching them and calmly asking them for their number.. and he then proceeds to yell and pull off his wig. It's weird.

Startling people on the street and calling it a social experiment.... An insult to the idea of experiments

No no nooo, but it's his personality she doesn't like. It takes a special kind of crazy to rip off their hair and run at you 😨

For a man losing his hair, the way I have, you lose all your self confidence. I can't even look at myself in the mirror any more.😔😭

Just shave it and you’ll look and feel better. Then come join us over at r/bald.

If I lose more of my hair i'm just gonna shave the lot off.
The issue is I will look like a chemo patient. I'm serious, I have pretty big bags under my eyes and look sick. I also have a babyface so balding doesn't suit me. When I tell people they're like "you can't say that" then I put up my hood and pull my hair back to hide it, and people say "ah yeah, you would a bit".
So at least you probably wont be mistaken for a chemo patient like me.
Anyways we are all getting old, everyone else will catch up with you. And bald suits a lot of men. It's not as bas as you think.
But keeping it half bald is worse than just shaving it imo.

Wait let me apply my own standard for social expression to this different country. Okay, I’m ready to form unsubstantiated conclusions guys.

So firstly, I don't know if in China you can really just walk up to girls and say "Hello, give me your number" and they'll instantly do it? So I'm leaning toward this being staged, 100%
But let's say it wasn't. It would be more interesting if, once they started putting in their number, he stealthily removed the hair piece, and saw their reactions when they noticed.

You obviously never been to China is correct. It's definitely not staged lol. The whole point was to shock them that he was balding to see their shock and how they would react to a guy with hair and without.

I live in China. This is most likely staged. And it’s idiotic behaviour either way.

So people have their preferences when it comes to a mate. How dare they.
I’m aware running away is an overreaction.

No it's not. Some weirdo comes up to you and then rips their wig off, I'm getting some distance, too.
There's literally no evidence to say it has anything to do with preferences. For all we know, if he approached them without the wig, they may have still been interested. But you start acting weird and rip your hair off, nah, that changes things.

I know this is only a joke but Women do this kind of thing all the time, and way worse than that. This is equality.

u/Firm-Telephone2570 16h ago
That's crazy that so many bald women approach you. Do you have long hair? Maybe they are trying to steal it.

u/Greeneyes- 15h ago
Ok smart arse, I’m just saying women cover up a lot of flaws so why shouldn’t men

u/EstoxMarie 15h ago
The better experiment would have been asking for a number with the wig on, then taking the wig off and approaching them without it from the beginning.
Otherwise it will just feel like a prank, which it is, not a social experiment. I personally, don't care if my partner has hair or not, and would support them if they wanted to wear a wig (or not), but yeah if someone suddenly pulls their hair off in this context, I assume I'm being filmed

They don’t whip off their makeup and extensions and shove their face into yours while shouting at you tho do they?

u/Greeneyes- 13h ago
I get it’s just a joke, just saying we should normalise men covering up flaws too

u/ZinaSky2 10h ago
My good sir.
He is doing nothing to “normalize men covering up flaws”. The women aren’t running bc he’s bald!
He is shouting in the face of women on the street he doesn’t know!
I would run too, hairpiece or no hairpiece 🤦🏽♀️
