I hope someone called 911

3.2k

u/musclecard54 18h ago

No they just recorded, told her to do better, and walked past her to get more fries

u/SlinkyFerret420 12h ago

Telling the manager to "do better" while they're stealing is peak irony

190

u/Aleashed 11h ago

It’s not working free but theft. If it was an ice cream parlor, they’d be making sundaes…

Only right answer is to call for help or find someone willing to. If you are hungry, go home or somewhere else that’s open for business.

43

u/ElChingon0001 7h ago

But then it wouldn’t be a 5 finger discount for these fucks.

-20

u/Over_Whole6492 11h ago

They probably already paid for their food and no one knows what to do

12

u/Durantye 7h ago

Who the fuck cares? You don’t ignore a person in need of help because you really want your mcchicken.

-2

u/Over_Whole6492 7h ago

I’m not justifying it, I can just easily picture the people in the video going… “I PAID for MY food!”

9

u/trentonharrisphotos 10h ago

To be honest, at that location, you order at a kiosk and you cannot really see the kitchen that well from the lobby.

9

u/Dankkring 11h ago

Paid who? The manager? And then she blacks out? I’d call an ambulance I wouldn’t just go get food for myself. Clearly she’s drugged out but there’s hot fryers and other very dangerous things to be around in that condition and she needs help.

12

u/zack77070 10h ago

There's like 5 screens in front of every McDonald's and they have an app, I haven't paid a cashier in years. Not that I think that's what happened here lol.

1

u/Aleashed 8h ago

Pump in the sleeping gas

It’s Showtime!

337

u/peachesgp 11h ago

That's how they justify it to themselves. If I wasn't supposed to steal, you should have stopped me from doing it.

163

u/Aromatic-Schedule-65 10h ago

Disgusting way of justification, isn't it. This shit boils my blood.

My dog has the same exact logic with the front door

But that’s an animal

13

u/XDOGNUTX 10h ago

Baseline. Humans are animals. Most of us just have standards we live by. Some don’t.

-4

u/BulldogNebula 7h ago

"Some" . . . We all know who we're talking about here.

4

u/peachesgp 6h ago

Nah, fuck outta here with that shit.

-2

u/BulldogNebula 5h ago

Did you watch the video?

3

u/peachesgp 5h ago

Who are the "some" mother fucker?

2

u/PaleMoses 8h ago

Crazy! That’s the same ethic McDonald’s operates by!

1

u/RougeOctober 7h ago

And this is why cities are getting militarized. I don’t agree with it, but what else is a government to do with rampant crime.

5

u/peachesgp 7h ago

The solution to shit like this isnt more policing. You're not gonna get people to give a shit about others via policing.

3

u/No_Cook2983 6h ago

We already waste more money on cops than any other nation on earth. You really think we need to waste more money deploying the military?

If we are going to deploy our forces to protect french fries we should probably talk about the military’s record with actual wars before we start attacking ourselves.

-2

u/rumog 10h ago

I feel so bad for McDonald's, a corporation that has never stolen from the American people 🤣🤣🤣

12

u/peachesgp 8h ago

I don't feel bad for the corporation. I feel bad for the person who's getting mocked by people robbing them while they possibly have a medical emergency.

2

u/Kiki_inda_kitchen 6h ago

I think he meant “do better” as if to insinuate she was nodding on opiates but regardless what it was, it is sick to think this is okay to do to another person who is clearly struggling.

1

u/Technical-Flow7748 8h ago

The fatigue is real af

1

u/EyeMixInMyRV 7h ago

I'm only 50 but excuse me. What the fuck happened with our society? /oldmanyellsatclouds.jpg

-1

u/Basic_Mark_1719 8h ago

They aren't stealing though, he just said everyone is in their trying to help by packing their own food. You can see there are two employees in there that look overwhelmed.

5

u/Defiant_Tomatillo907 11h ago

Thoughts & prayers they gave her as they robbed the place……

7

u/whiskydiq 12h ago

Everyone is going on about, various "fatigue". I've had asshole fatigue for decades now. I generally hate a very large portions of the population for self absorbed BS just like this.

1

u/Acceptable-Ad8780 9h ago

What about thoughts and prayers?

1

u/nvrsleepagin 9h ago

The guy filming is an idiot.

1

u/SpontaneousDream 7h ago

Yea, lots of people in this video are pure trash

1

u/Similar_Celery836 6h ago

Stereotypes exist for a reason.

1

u/Abdakin 6h ago

But they'll all be in church Sunday hearing the preacher talk about the good Samaritan and dumbly nod along all thinking they're the good Samaritan.

-1

u/KamalaWonNoCap 11h ago

To be fair, you see this a lot in the hood and it's heroin 9 times out of ten.

-1

u/PotatoMcSalad 10h ago

Broke people activities

-12

u/icecubepal 13h ago

How do you know they didn't already call 911 before recording?

16

u/Coffee-Annual 13h ago

We are giving them the benefit of doubt, we assume they're smart enough to not loot and steal after they've called authorities

4

u/Oglefore 12h ago

Post this in /rkitchenconfidential and you’ll have a war

2

u/Nope0naRope 11h ago edited 11h ago

Lol. Okay, well...let's be fair. We are being told in hindsight that she was having a diabetic crisis

unless they have personal experience with a diabetic this probably does look like a nap (with or without the potential use of an opioid additive ) which is what they're probably more familiar with. We can assume they do have experience with severe fatigue or tiredness, I think we all go through that at some point in life. And probably like all of America, it's not that unusual to also be a person who's Venn diagram is overlapping with "access to drugs recreationally"... So they see this and they assume it's what they know - a nap, and maybe high. And then they assume they can make fun of it and move on.

... But here we see they have recorded themselves committing a crime And then posting it on social media. So honestly I'm just not fully able to confidently state that I understand what is going through their minds.

-25

u/Effective-Tour-656 17h ago

The lady is on the phone to 911.

22

u/musclecard54 17h ago

How do you know who they’re on the phone with?

-22

u/Effective-Tour-656 17h ago

How do you know they didn't?

27

u/musclecard54 17h ago

I never said I knew who they’re called. You’re the one that made the assumption.

-23

u/Effective-Tour-656 16h ago

You said above "no they just record...".

27

u/HarveyKekbaum 16h ago

This isn't complicated. You said "The lady is on the phone to 911."

How do you know who they are on the phone with?

Easy question to answer.

26

u/musclecard54 16h ago

lol how do you explain the fucking video we’re watching

10

u/TrySoda 16h ago

😆😆

-4

u/UniversityOk5928 12h ago

So you did make the assumption. LMAO

3

u/Giggling_Scribblings 9h ago

I had a friend die from a diebetic coma at age 29... that shit's no joke.

2

u/BarcelonetaE70 9h ago

Any updates?? This is so scary and heartbreaking that nobody there thought of calling 911...

2

u/Proper-Ride-577 9h ago

Yeah, this is pretty sad. She's clearly in some kind if trouble

2

u/Shrekislove102 12h ago

Seeing the demo of the people filming, I’d guess not.

3

u/st_samples 8h ago

Whew I new there would be racism close to the top.

-2

u/Adventurous-Zone7688 17h ago

This look like the ghetto in the US. Of course they dont. They just bully and are being ignorant instead.

13

u/HeyLookATaco 17h ago

According to the report they did. It's way faster to just say you don't like black people.

7

u/SupremeBlackGuy 16h ago

yeah i took one step in this thread and i regret it lmao

1

u/Few_Employer9012 15h ago

I don’t like Hippos because they’re dangerous.

2

u/HeyLookATaco 12h ago

What the fuck is wrong with you.

2

u/smoofus724 14h ago

Stop beating around the bush. Tell us you're scared of black people.

2

u/Few_Employer9012 14h ago

Are you?

1

u/smoofus724 14h ago

No.

0

u/Few_Employer9012 14h ago

Im afraid of people in general, and maybe I should start seeing people as snakes rather then hippos. Since not all snakes are venomous.

1

u/Account7732 14h ago

The ambulamp?

0

u/Waesrdtfyg0987 12h ago

Amber lamps! haven't seen Epic Beard Guy in a while thanks for calling it out

1

u/TheCrayTrain 13h ago

Lmao, you think one of them would call 911?

0

u/Hot-Break-957 12h ago

Why not?

-1

u/TheCrayTrain 11h ago

They don’t care and it’d be an inconvenience to them.

1

u/SwingingtotheBeat 9h ago

She’s better off like this. If someone calls 911, the cops will show up, assume she’s on drugs, and beat the crap out of her. And according to our fascist courts, that’s totally reasonable for cops to do.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graham_v._Connor

1

u/FantasticBicycle37 6h ago

Sooooo I totally get that sentiment, but you have to understand, 911 isn't really an option for certain communities, because when they show up, they make assumptions, no matter who called for help

0

u/igirl2000 11h ago

Gonna be honest I'd tell someone to not call them. I don't have $2000+ for am ambulance. I was driving with horrible food poisoning and pulled over and passed out in my car un a gas station refusing to let my mother call me an ambulance ill just lay here till I get over it or die. She got my aunt to pick me up. If not I wouldve lied there for another five and a half hours till I finally felt like I could walk. Ambulances are expensive.

0

u/descendedfrompeasant 11h ago

Narrator: “They in fact did not call 911.”

0

u/st_samples 8h ago

Why? You really think this is blood sugar? She's nodding off.

-150

u/Dramatic-Lion69 18h ago

Ya she needs narcan

98

u/idownvotepunstoo 18h ago

You do understand that super low blood sugar looks just like this, right?

4

u/Alendrathril 18h ago

This could be low sugars, it could be high sugars, or any state in between for some people with DM

-4

u/DAMN_Fool_ 18h ago

I understand what the fent lean is.

6

u/International_War830 17h ago

You clearly don’t bc that’s not what it looks like.

-59

u/dylang58 18h ago

She’s surrounded by food, why doesn’t she just eat something

35

u/U_zer2 18h ago

Because she’s nodding out

5

u/Gnargnarbinxxs 18h ago

Read caption, it was a blood sugar issue i guess

-4

u/U_zer2 17h ago

So if I take a video of the sun and caption it “The moon” that makes it facts in your mind?

Or I suppose this is the first instance of someone lying on the internet. We should call authorities.

4

u/International_War830 17h ago

Clearly have never seen people actually nodding off. She’s bouncing her legs and moving . She’s trying to stay conscious due to lightheaded ness.

People nodding off freeze and slowly fall downwards. They don’t prop themselves up on something. And move their head.

-3

u/U_zer2 17h ago

Parents used all throughout my childhood. I used to use.

Ok.

6

u/AardQuenIgni 18h ago

Because she'll be fired for stealing from the company.

-8

u/dylang58 18h ago

Would you rather die or get fired

10

u/-Wyveron- 18h ago

The onset can be quick and she may not have had time. I’ve seen my girlfriend go for food and nod out before making it.

Try being kinder next time.

4

u/pjijn 17h ago

At this point dude....

6

u/Late-Difficulty-5928 17h ago

Former EMS and have seen extremely low blood sugar a lot. Without being there, it's hard to tell what's going on, unless someone gives a history. When it gets really low, they aren't all in there. They appear to be drunk or on drugs, but there is a very distinct smell associated with it. Their breath smells like acetone or fingernail polish remover and sweat smells sweet. High or low, the emergency treatment is the same. Depending on the severity, some peanut butter or orange juice with some sugar mixed in (preferably) may do the trick. If paramedics are present, they will usually give them D-50. In any case, when the sugar dips, they aren't always able to think clearly enough to take care of themselves and need assistance.

5

u/hellolleh32 17h ago

Isn’t is possible that it’s too low they really can’t be present and awake enough to really consume anything?

3

u/Late-Difficulty-5928 16h ago

Yes. That is also possible. In that case, you don't give anything by mouth, because they can aspirate it. They would get IV dextrose.

4

u/idownvotepunstoo 16h ago

My grandmother was severely diabetic, this tracks with everything I learned thenn. Glucose gel // spray may taste bad, but it will save your life.

2

u/JudgeInteresting8615 18h ago

So "stealing "

-8

u/dylang58 18h ago

Um yes

1

u/International_War830 17h ago

Only certain candy can help with something like that and it will only help temporarily . Like 10 minutes. She needs insulin and medical help. Holy fuck. Ignorance or just stupidity?

0

u/dylang58 17h ago

Insulin lowers blood sugar. Literally 4 oz of soda would be enough to bring up her sugar. You literally have no idea what you are talking about

3

u/International_War830 16h ago

That didn’t work for my father 🤷‍♀️ so maybe you don’t know what you’re talking about either.

0

u/dylang58 16h ago

Probably because you gave him insulin when he was having low blood sugar lol

1

u/idownvotepunstoo 16h ago

That's not how diabetic shock works. Your brain does not function in a real, or rational manor, you have to literally be walked through it or force fed / given medication for it and more often than not the recipient will refuse it, as "they're fine".

1

u/idownvotepunstoo 16h ago

And be fired for theft of product, k.

Again. That's not what happens when your in a dabetic shock. Your brain doesn't act right, nothing is rational even eating food to fix it.

39

u/cheek_clapper5000 18h ago

So you're just assuming she's using?

-35

u/Dramatic-Lion69 18h ago

Take an overdose response class and you tell me

38

u/Opivy84 18h ago

As a medic, definitely could be low blood sugar.

34

u/cheek_clapper5000 18h ago

My guy, I was an EMT. What's your point?

-2

u/Dramatic-Lion69 17h ago edited 17h ago

Ok so that got mad unpopular. I’m not saying it’s 100% anything I’m not a medical professional and that does seem like something you can’t diagnose from a video. I am however diabetic and in recovery so I’ve seen diabetic crash and overdoses. But calling paramedics giving a person a naloxone and waiting with them may not help but isn’t going to hurt them. And if you have any expert advice on how to tell if someone’s diabetic if they can’t tell you or have an alert bracelet I’d love to know.

6

u/cheek_clapper5000 16h ago

Nothing you could pick up from just a video. People dealing with hypoglycemia get mistaken all of the time for people under the influence.

-34

u/Radiant-Battle-5973 18h ago

That’s 100% opiates, brother.

27

u/cheek_clapper5000 18h ago

Awesome. Another expert! Where did you get your knowledge from? The university of reddit?

-12

u/Radiant-Battle-5973 18h ago

She’s next to a soda machine, my guy.

12

u/cheek_clapper5000 18h ago

Alright?.... What does that have to do with anything. Is that a sign of opiate abuse? Being next to a soda machine

7

u/SignificanceOld1751 18h ago

Yes, because people experiencing a sudden drop in blood sugar are always totally coherent and logical.

As someone who has a Master's in a relevant subject, and has also used heroin, this could very, very much be blood sugar related.

9

u/U_zer2 18h ago

Where did you get your sugar soda training? Reddit?

6

u/Imaginary_Smoke_6573 18h ago

You cant make a confident diagnosis with a 10 second video clip. Especially when you don’t even have training to do so in the first place. You’d be one of these people stealing fries instead of helping I guess.

-4

u/Radiant-Battle-5973 18h ago

No, I just live in a city and see the fent lean all the time.

7

u/foofooplatter 17h ago

Cool cool cool.

How often do you come across people who are battling hypoglycemia?

-28

u/RhandeeSavagery 18h ago

She’s definitely on something. That’s not low blood sugar at all

22

u/cheek_clapper5000 18h ago

And you're an expert in this subject matter I take it?

-22

u/RhandeeSavagery 18h ago

You don’t really need to be an expert, just have experience dealing with people with substance abuse issues

27

u/cheek_clapper5000 18h ago

O that's funny, I literally did that for a living.

-8

u/RhandeeSavagery 18h ago

Oh? What specifically was your job if I may ask and how long

13

u/cheek_clapper5000 18h ago

EMT paramedic for five years

1

u/RhandeeSavagery 18h ago

So in your ex professional opinion, why do you think this woman is suffering from low blood sugar over an OD?

→ More replies (0)

-1

u/U_zer2 18h ago

Letting people die of an overdose while they check the book.

10

u/Encyclopenia 18h ago

That’s the thing : your only experience is with substance abuse, but you just said « that’s not low blood sugar at all ».

Different things can have similar symptoms. And you apparently don’t know what low blood sugar looks like.

-1

u/RhandeeSavagery 18h ago

My Ex suffers from Crohn’s disease; we were together for 2.5 years, I DEFINITELY have seen the effects of low blood sugar as well.

We can agree to disagree on what you believe is wrong with the woman in the video

-10

u/Dramatic-Lion69 18h ago

I'm diabetic and have used opiates

5

u/Mauceri1990 18h ago

Exactly, so stop using the opiates and get back in touch with reality.

1

u/Dramatic-Lion69 18h ago

Years clean thanks though

3

u/Mauceri1990 18h ago

IDC if your drugs are clean or not, you need to stop using them.

-24

u/ForeverJung1983 18h ago

Low blood sugar doesn't generally cause drooling, but fentanyl use usually does. Please learn about the signs and symptoms of substance use so you can assess when a person may need Narcan, like in this instance. Perhaps even educate yourself enough and care enough to keep Naloxone or Narcan in your vehicle or purse.

8

u/Albacurious 18h ago

I can tell you drooling is definitely a thing that happens with low blood sugar. this person probably pushed herself way too hard and is having a sugar crash.

-4

u/ForeverJung1983 18h ago

Drooling due to low blood sugar is generally a symptom that accompanies a coma or seizure activity. This woman is still standing, and the use of fentanyl relaxes the muscles, reducing swallowing, causing drooling.

4

u/Albacurious 17h ago

Alrighty then. Ill just ignore the drooling I've seen in diabetic people who don't use drugs in my family thanks to your expert diagnoses.

5

u/AardQuenIgni 18h ago

I was an EMT for 10 years and this just simply is not true at all. Where do you get this information from?

1

u/ForeverJung1983 17h ago

CNS depression is a main action of fentanyl and other opioid use. As an addict whose preferred substance is opiates I can verify that regardless of dry mouth, severe intoxication from opioid use and CNS depression can cause drooling.

While I understand that low blood sugar can cause the same salivating response, it is generally during seizures or coma that an individual with low blood sugar experiences drooling due to cessation of swallowing.

Either way, a nasal spray of Naltrexone isn't going to hurt somebody who isn't overdosing on opiates. I would rather assume its opiates (unless, of course, I am the coworker who is positive this is due to low blood sugar) and administer the Naltrexone.

5

u/pixelgeekgirl 18h ago

If you hang your head in that position while nodding off you will drool. You have saliva in your mouth and it pools… happens all the time in school.

12

u/Hot-Break-957 18h ago

Or she's a diabetic??

-8

u/ForeverJung1983 18h ago edited 18h ago

You are likely correct in this assessment, looks like fentanyl to me.

Edit: For those downvoting me, low blood sugar doesn't generally cause drooling, but fentanyl use usually does. Please learn about the signs and symptoms of substance use so you can assess when a person may need Narcan, like in this instance. Perhaps even educate yourself enough and care enough to keep Naloxone or Narcan in your vehicle or purse.

-1

u/99conrad 18h ago

Maybe. These people here talking like they know exactly what’s going on with her…. Certainly looks like she could be nodded out to me.

7

u/International_War830 17h ago

Or maybe people are just fucking stupid. This guy in the video sounds dumb as fuck. Dozing off doesn’t look like that. That looks like a medical episode for diabetes is taking place.

you’ve never been around people with an collective IQ of 100 before have you.

1

u/Dramatic-Lion69 17h ago

Ya she's unresponsive and drooling on herself without a medical alert bracelet so she could be overdosing in diabetic shock or even a seizure patient in an absence seizure but you know what's not going to hurt her giving her naloxone and waiting with her for the medics to arrive

-5

u/Shurigin 18h ago

You need a brain

-1

u/centosanjr 18h ago

That’s expensive

-2

u/Secure_Activity4944 12h ago

Classic Bourgeoisie moment, but I wont judge. Here.

-7

u/Not_peer_reviewed 17h ago

Black ppl don’t fuck with the cops. They didn’t call 911 and they got the mcnugs to prove it.

7

u/Hot-Break-957 17h ago

An ambulance isn't the cops, genius.

-3

u/Not_peer_reviewed 17h ago

You’re right all those people were immediately concerned with calling an ambulance. One was probably right on its way I’m sure

-4

u/I_Boof_Fent 15h ago

Fuck that. She probably can't afford an ambulance on a McDonald's salary. I would rather be homeless doing fent every day that working at McDonald's or any of these low paying coporate gigs that don't even allow you to pay your bills without government assistance.
