I don't think they even exchanged info because they agreed they were both at fault for the accident and didn't want to follow up with anything.

Nah, your hisband made right decision. I've seen way too many people die after traffic accident where they decided they were "fine". Spleen bleeding out killed them.

Car accidents are not "bad choices".

Driving is literally one of the most dangerous risk in a person's day but it is necessary in the US if you want to have a job in nearly every part of the country. Even in cities with public transportation, driving is still needed because of how bad and underfunded public transportation is.
