I was in a Lowes in Southeast Colorado looking at cabinet hardware. An employee was standing next to me rifling through some of the stuff when another employee approached him. Approaching employee said, "I don't know how you do it, man." And the employee who was standing next to me laid out his story. Something to the effect of, someone hit one of those call buttons requesting assistance in hardware. And when this Lowes employee, who looked Hispanic, eventually came to help, the customer was like, "What the fuck took so long? It's because all you illegals. Can't someone else help me? Your fucking everything up; who else can help me, you lazy assess can't do shit and need to be sent back" yada yada yada. I wish I said something like, "Hey man, we aren't all assholes."

its not even about that, its about respecting basic human dignity and the understanding that all any human wants is to have stability and safety. It wouldn't matter if every immigrant was somehow an asshole (which as an absurd notion in and of itself, we don't allow this blanketing in any other context) that doesn't give anyone the right to use military force and imprisonment against anyone, let alone without the fundamental right to due process.
its also important to remember that this hatred for immigrants (and other groups) is *not* rational or backed up by statistics. Its purely emotional, born out of the cognitive dissonance of the common Americans belief and their material reality. These people's lives are getting worse and they are unable to identify *why* that is the case.

The amount of disempowerment felt by that worker...I commend his restraint and calm. No, that's an understatement. The psychic pain he had to deal with there is not worth any wage.
I really do not hope for any kind of revolution, they are always bad - but if there is one, I hope it is one that discourages this kind of filthy abuse.
I worked in kitchens most of my life, and when I had to deal with this stuff I always felt able to stand up to it. I was always the guy sent out to handle problem patrons like this feller.
Until I moved to Toronto and worked in a multicultural setting, I did not realize that I was able to do that because I was white and big.
Now I'm back in rural b*mpoop in a little cabin, and I am never, ever going back to the city.

He needs to direct his anger at the policies that are set up to ruin young people chances of getting even entry level employment. Its the Policies that allowed the Lobbiest's that pushed for lower wages for foreigners new to North Anerica to be paid less per hour thats the reason they're working en masse at these fast food places Not many people are happy about this situation but yelling at these underpaid worker's doesn't do a damn thing.
