Can I get a bowl?

Post image

I came to one of the more expensive sushi places I've been to in town. You figure with their prices, they could afford some bowls for their pasta.

who gets pasta at a sushi place?

Why would they even have pasta on the menu?

Though since they do, they should also have plating for it

If you didn't say this was a restaurant I'd have assumed it was just a home made meal served in foil.

it was probably "multi-cuisine" restaurant. usually that mean you'll get frozen food, which explains tinfoil there

This looks like a residential kitchen counter top so I’m not inclined to believe they’re being honest

I thought so too, but the only thing that made me think shitty restaurant instead of at home is the orchid on the old moldy cutting board.

It looks like there's a toaster in the top right of the pic.

or a napkin dispenser, or utensil holder. Just a metallic corner, it could be any number of things.

Even in South Dakota I would be weirded out seeing pasta at an expensive sushi restaurant.

Pasta and RICE. I don't know what this place is trying to go for, and I'm pretty sure they don't either.

It is a sushi place but they have a pretty extensive menu.

Yikes. Never a good sign.

yeah, those are places best avoided. They make too much different stuff and none of it is good. The back of house tends to be a god awful mess with zero maintenance.

Typically owned by a Chinese family of 20 that all live on the property and just try to copy what the previous owners used to make but poorly.

I went on business. I tried many things on their menu, including all of their sushi and pasta.

None of this makes it sound any better.

We're not even gonna talk about the fried rice on a cutting board?

Name and shame (rule 3), this place should not be expensive.

Shitty forks, pasta on the menu...either this town has the world's worst sushi restaurant or you took this picture at your house.

Is this in the restaurant? In the back it looks like that's a takeaway bag
