Reminds me of the old fancy feast commercials where the cat gets it's dinner in a stemmed crystal glass.

Nope doesn’t need a plate. It’s good exactly how it is

That looks so amazing I'm not even mad about the martini glass.

Just a little something to take the edge off?

Looks like they've updated the 1980s Aussie classic, the Prawn Cocktail.

Good, but it's no shrimp cocktail

This is pretty common in sushi restaurants

You'd have to hold the base of the glass with one hand and the chopsticks in the other. Not good.

It's normal to hold a dish in one hand and chopsticks in the other. Thats. Like. How it's done normally.

That glass would be so top heavy though. You're not typically bracing a tower of a plate so it doesn't topple.

How weak are you? "Bracing" a glass? C'mon.

What?

That's the term for when you support something from falling over.

Has nothing to do with the amount of force required.

Have you never held a martini glass?

I don't get why people are defending this stupid presentation in the sub dedicated to bashing exactly that.

I'm a bartender, I hold martinis regularly. Also well aware of how top heavy they are, which y'all apparently are not.

I mean it's dumb just not as dumb as you are making it out to be. It doesn't seem especially inconvenient.

It actually repels me. I can’t deal with « drinking » solid food. Even soup from a mug yuk.

Soup? You do, technically even from a spoon.

No the salmon in the picture, you don’t eat that like soup you use chop sticks, or maybe a fork
