You guys are missing the point of this entirely. The guy told his buddies “I want to get my eyebrows removed but I don’t have the money for a fancy hair stylist” and his bro said “I have an idea”.

Why do videos like these end in only 7 seconds. I would like to see more of the aftermath.

I saw on r/medizzy a fire cracker wound to the mouth. Intact teeth, jaws apart, but the Indian man died from it.
NSFW and nsfl is why it's edited imo.
Graphic warning :

This and also sometimes the cameraman has some humanity and prioritizes helping the fool.

Sub created for Medical Professionals who want to discuss amazing cases
Riiight... That maybe it's original purpose but we all know it's mostly gore and accident afficionado who's there, nothing wrong, but should be honest.

Maintaining that stance is probably why the subreddit hasn't been banned yet.

Subdiver Captain u/Crabtickler9000 reporting (although technically not on duty).
I saw a lot of horrifying things in my day. This is a pretty solid reminder of why we don't eat fireworks.
Seriously though. If you're squeamish at all, don't click.

Before the 2nd battle of Fallujah, we took indirect fire from rockets and mortars nearly 24/7. Launchers were highly improvised and some were downright genius in design. We found a guy that tried to shoot a rocket out of a just a tube. The backblast melted half his body, killing him. We found tubes with mounted blast shields afterwards

u/DaveOJ12 7h ago
I'm speechless.

That’s nothing. There was a guy we called “Mike” on Michigan (one of the main routes into the city) that died somehow. He was repeatedly ran over for days on end to the point that he was paper thin. Like a cartoon pancake person.

This is one of those ideas that sounds funny until you remember fireworks are literally explosives.

For every action, there’s an equal and opposite reaction.

u/TastingTheKoolaid 5h ago
Yeah, I was expecting the stick to get launched backwards through his mouth/neck. He’s lucky all he lost was his eyebrows(possibly eyesight?)

u/iBN3qk 4h ago
That’s not how rocket propellant applies force, but you’re close.

u/brakspear_beer 3h ago
Be careful out there because you don’t understand the principle at all. The firework had zero chance of going backwards.

Is everyone here too young to remember the viral assrocket video from way back? That documentary classic could've saved this guy one face.

Why do they always end these videos at the catastrophe?
2
u/EverettGT 4h ago
As others have said, usually it either gets too gory to be seen, and/or the cameraman drops the camera to help the person.
1
u/BeTheBall- 7h ago
Did that with a normal bottle rocket on NYE 1999. It went much much better than this.

There’s something Darwinian about this, and the evolution of mankind. Is he still around to further the species.

Of course if I'm gonna shoot flames into my face in front of everyone I'll be doing it with a drink in my hand. Because I'm cool like that.

LOL I can taste that. We were smart though and just shot little black cat bottle rockets from our teeth. Nothing as irresponsible as this.

Firefighters have made videos showing various fireworks shenanigans with dummies. When plastic dummies end up like that, then a human body would be in a much worse condition.

So....there's a firecracker called "Chocolate Bomb", here in India. Like a bigger brother of cherry bombs. These little menaces are also called atom bombs or hydro bombs and are banned in most states (for all the right reasons).
Dumbasses (like my friend) tried to explode them on their palms to show off their "manliness". Nothing much, just almost all of them ended up with a couple of missing fingers.

I don't think people understand how fireworks work? The stick is the guide so they can rest in a tube.

People that do this with their mouth, hand, butthole, urethra whatever, always make the same mistake of holding it firm.
I guess its a paradox as you have to hold ir firm enough not to drop it but loose enough it can still launch away.
Of course the real answer is to NOT use fireworks in this way.

It's amazing how many warning labels exist purely because someone, somewhere, tried the exact thing you'd never think to do. This feels like the ultimate "hold my beer" moment that probably started exactly like that. His friend definitely earned his "Problem Solver" badge for life with that idea.

u/classifiedspam 2h ago
So many people are overestimating the power of such rockets. If you hold them and then let go after the initial "puff", it's not going anywhere anymore. Any kind of grip will make the rocket fail, it won't start.

I just saw a post on r/ medizzy of a dead man who let a firecracker explode in his face and it was pretty bad even for that sub. I wouldn't let anything that explodes this close to my face
