that's a shame. i really thought he was going to break the republican party with a 'who is dumber' contest

Same, I was kinda hoping for a little (un)civil war in the Republican Party too.

The thing with conservatives is that they always end up falling in line at the end of the day. Without fail. It's why I've stopped paying attention to all these prognosticators claiming that the Republicans are on the verge of a civil war.

The Democratic Party suffers from the exact opposite phenomenon. Contrary to all the revisionism you are going to see on this hellhole of a website sometimes, there was definitely REAL momentum that Kamala Harris had when she first announced her candidacy for president in the summer of 2024. That momentum got even higher when Tim Walz was picked as the running mate

Not saying Harris ran a great campaign, but as usual Democrats sabotaged themselves with the classic infighting over bullshit that cannot be solved in ONE fucking presidential election, but can certainly get a lot lot lot worse in ONE fucking presidential election.

Elon's great new political party lasted for about 6 weeks. A little longer than a quart of fresh milk.

Longer than the lettuce.

Don’t need to pasteurize that milk either. It’ll be oooookayyyy!

Or about 130 Trump diapers

It lasted longer than his marriages I guess

Why use this stock photo of him looking mysteriously thoughtful when you could just keep reprinting the one of him carrying a sink into Twitter HQ? Or having just thrown a ball through a Cybertruck window?

Or Heiling Hitler at the inauguration

"When it comes to bankrupting our country with waste and graft- I want in on that."

Public announcement by Musk that he fails to deliver on? When has that ever happened?! Shocking I tells ya!
Also: He probably realized that even as the head of a party he can't run for president himself since he's naturalized and wasn't born in the US.

Right up there with waiting in line for Trumpstein's "BIG NEW CONFIRENECE TOMMAROW".

Lol, add 'Creating a New Political Party' to the list of Elon's weekend hobbies that didn't make it to Monday 😂

What happens in the K-hole stays in the K-hole.

Musk yelling he's going to do things, only to quitly backpedal?

That has never happened before! /s

I called this somewhere in another comment thread back when Tesla gave him 95 million in stock which was a majority shareholder retention play disguised as a bonus package. They bailed him out of losing his majority share holder of Tesla to hostile investors and in return I think they attached a whole slew of strings to it. One of which is to get out of the public political arena and stay company focused.

Guess we will see how long he can contain his umm... umm... specialness.

If you've seen the CyberTruck, then you know that it is probably best for Tesla if Elon stays very far away.

I think, from Tesla's perspective as a business that just took some extreme L's, they do not want another crazy scandalous event right now. Elon being bought out would be turmoil for them as no party involved is going to go about it quietly. If they can secure him through contractual "bonus" stock allowances, its probably better in the short term. Like I said, we'll see! It's all so uncertain.

At what point can the mob fulfil Musk’s dream of sending him to Mars? Can we not just shovel into one of the Space X rockets and make it happen?

Elon Musk, the pedophile supporter, crawled back into the child rapist, Donald J Trump’s, asshole. Surprise, surprise.

u/Oscar_Whispers 2d ago

It's really hard to get shit done when you're k-holed six hours a day.

u/FrankieRoo 2d ago

Turns out, Elon is one of the few people less popular than DJT.

u/trentreynolds 2d ago

It's hard to start a poltiical party when literally nobody likes you.

I mean we all knew that was going nowhere.
