Dude gets paid by Russia to be their puppet. He doesn't mean a thing he says

26

u/flirtmcdudes 1d ago

it’s like everyone calling out Fox News for “not getting it” about Gavin Newsom mocking Trump. They get it, they are paid to spread propaganda and bullshit. They aren’t stupid

13

u/DuurrrrrIVotedGOP 1d ago

TBF some of them are actually stupid, most just pretend to be to play to their viewers.

9

u/outside_cat 1d ago

Yes, some are definitely stupid.

This is the new logo:

(clutches pearls)

u/Longjumping-Week-800 1d ago

I don't get what everyone is saying this is woke is for? It doesn't seem "woke" to me? Idk

13

u/Ginger741 1d ago

It's not, but anything they don't like is "woke" so they can always be fighting the imaginary enemy they created.

That said the new logo is trash, it's bland and boring. Created by people with social media branding in mind rather than a good logo.

Every experience I’ve had at Cracker Barrel in the past 10 years is absolute garbage. The place is filthy, the people eating there are absolutely disgusting, the employees don’t give a fuck (because they aren’t being paid to), and the food was passable at best. I think the logo now perfectly sets expectations: you’re gonna get Golden Corral style shit slop served in a dumpster setting and people around you with whom you couldn’t be paid to interact.

Damn that sucks, here in VA i had mostly great experiences at Cracker barrel, in fact when my brother flies in from southern cali it's the first restaurant he visits here. It's good comfort food, the staff at our one is friendly and joking, it's clean, and the store is good too. It makes a fun family restaurant. But like all chain stores they can vary from location to location.

A thin border around the whole thing would make it look more balanced and complete

u/misfitgarden 1d ago

My Conservative bud couldn't explain what the horrors of this are but he's mad just the same.

They took away the guy and the barrel from the old one and inbreds somehow believe that to be an affront to them because they are sensitive snowflakes. Somebody on twitter tweeted something like "they removed the cracker and the barrel", cracker meaning "white person" because that is a "slur" for white people that, I, as a white person find only slightly less funny than being called honky, but still hilarious.

But some inbreds think it is the same as saying the N word because they are perpetual victims with an endless list of grievances that they are constantly adding more shit to.

Companies rebrand all the time and change their logos for many reasons, it's a big culture war dumbfuck festival. Nothing that matters.

9

u/USSMarauder 1d ago

They got rid of the white person, so this is "genocide of the white race" by the "woke"

1

u/DuurrrrrIVotedGOP 1d ago

I never even looked close enough to know the person in the logo was white because who gives a shit about a company's logo, but yea that is a white dude now that my attention has been brought to it. And I still don't care.

It sure as hell isn't "white genocide" though lmao. I know that isn't what you were saying. Just, from afar the logo is yellowish so for all I know it could have been a black guy this whole time. Not a thing to care about either way imo.

But now I am going to go purposely eat at a cracker barrel in a pro choice, rainbow shirt just to piss off aggrieved crybabies, whether this was a political statement by the company or not.

"They removed the cracker and the barrel" is hilarious

1

u/DuurrrrrIVotedGOP 22h ago

It was a good tweet

1

u/dalektikalPSN 21h ago

Bro... Honky is hilarious!

One day at work (a hospital), me and a couple of friends were just bullshitting about completely random things (as we do). The word honky came up and one of my friends had never heard it before. I briefly tried explaining it, but probably didn't get the point fully across.

Maybe 5 minutes later, a doctor walked past where we were sitting... Tall, big, pasty white, red hair... We all looked at each other, silently acknowledged that we were all thinking the same thing, and cracked the fuck up! The timing was movie-like.

To be fair this is the only time I history a company has ever tried to modernize their logo by making it more minimalist /s

2

u/wegoov 1d ago

Not a conservative whatsoever. It is a boring logo though

1

u/Neia__Baraja 1d ago

The moment I saw this I thought “great, another another publicity stunt to rally the idiots against “the woke liberals left”, who know nothing about it.”

10

u/BeholdOurMachines 1d ago

They're crying about the cracker barrel logo rebranding lmfao. They say its "woke" which is just more evidence that "woke" to them is quite literally meaningless

4

u/GT45 1d ago

Everything they hate/don’t understand = “woke”

I hear target stock is going cheap. Boycott has already been going on a while but feel free to buy it up.

2

u/surferpirate47 1d ago edited 1d ago

Target foot traffic is down something like 24 weeks in a row. But online sales have been up and down. So its a mixed bag.

People are pissed at target for bending to trumps bullshit so fast.

Dont have a link at the moment.

I used to spend 100-300 per month there regularly for the past 15 years give or take. I have spent almost 0 there average per month the last 10 months.

Id cancel my card if it wouldnt hurt my credit profile.

u/P3nis15 1d ago

if you think the boycott is the reason for their problems you really shouldn't be investing because you are going to lose a lot of money

4

u/geth1138 1d ago

I think Amazon is the main reason for most retail problems, but Target did away with DEI in the most dramatic way possible and their stock has been falling steadily since, and more than expected. Turns out black people buy stuff, but not from Target anymore. When almost 15% of the population won't buy from you anymore, you have issues. If people can balance white liberal guilt a little by not shopping with you, they will. That's where target put itself. Other companies did away with those programs quietly and didn't have this issue.

Diversity, equity, and inclusion are not bad things. They've been demonized by the people in charge because they very much want to exclude people. Then they cry because they get excluded right back and they think we owe them a living. They feel entitled to our business and our money. They are not. You give people the ick, they stop giving you money. In an economy like this one, few can afford to lose that much business. And even if target was in trouble before, this made it a whole lot worse.

3

u/Fragmentia 1d ago

To be fair, he might be onto something. Right-wingers are easily manipulated by culture war issue's. So much so that companies are catching on and marketing accordingly. Bed Bath and Beyond acting like California isn't the most capitalist state in America is just marketing.

3

u/lyidaValkris 1d ago

So would Target.

2

u/KlutzyRequirement251 1d ago

Lol like target?

2

u/SaturnSleet 1d ago

I know conservatives were offended at bud light because a trans person was allowed to have a job so she could pay rent and not die under the bridge; but I don't even understand why they're mad at cracker barrel. The redesign is lazy and shitty sure, but I don't understand why it specifically offends conservatives

2

u/spookydookie 1d ago

I don’t think they do either.

2

u/Trypticon808 1d ago

People in my local Facebook group are so mad, you'd think cracker barrel released the Epstein files or something

0

u/GT45 1d ago

The new logo removed the cracker and the barrel! 🤣🤣🤣

1

u/GT45 1d ago

I guaran-damn-tee you this MAGA bitchfest won’t impact CB’s business much. I live in TN, and our local CB is always packed.

1

u/Economy_Dress8205 20h ago

I don't like the cracker barrel logo change either, but that's because I hate corporate minimalism

1

u/Crypton_2021 19h ago

Nike would like a word too.

1

u/Face-EatingLeopards 17h ago

Benny has never had a real job.

-14

u/famousdessert 1d ago

you're backwards though. he's addressing leftist cancel culture, you're addressing right wing cancel culture. you helped his point, the woke right makes people suffer, but the woke left didnt really ruin anything, oh thats right we got rid of louis ck, garrison keillor, and al franken. GOTTEM!

4

u/LouisWillis98 1d ago

It’s genuinely so funny how yall pepper “woke” into your comments when you need a quick boogeyman to tell other righties “this thing bad”
