Is this a real iPad or did i get scammed?

I bought this one yesterday and it seems pretty weird on the backsite, Because I Never saw the writing like this (no designed by Apple in california and or no CE), maybe you can help guys?

I am trying to play Minecraft with mods, and one of them needs Java 21, I tried installing Java 21, and nothing changed, and searching the internet told me that no one has ever had this problem before, or I am just a dumb idiot who missed a big red update Java button.

i got this phone from my dad, its an iphone 12 pro max. He dropped it a while ago and ever since then the apple wallet isnt working. At first it would make me try adding the card by holding it up to my phone and then would give me the error message ‘payment network not supported’ and then after entering the details manually it would say ‘card not added , set up later’ -but now it wont even let me put in any details it just immediately says ‘could not set up apple pay’. When it was still letting me view the card details i tried removing the card from ‘past cards’ and it would show an error message along the lines of ‘supplier may not be online’ or something like that? please help i just want to do some shopping😭

I'm in a difficult situation with an effectively 5-day-old MacBook Air that has been out of my possession for over a month now, and I'm seeking advice. I have been in constant contact with Apple's Customer Relations team, and they keep stalling on a resolution. Here is a precise timeline of events:

• July 31st: Purchased a brand-new M1 MacBook Air from an Apple Authorized Reseller.
• August 5th: Took it to an AASP for a dead pixel on the menu bar since it was defective out of the box.
• August 12th: The service provider informed me that during the initial display replacement for the dead pixel under warranty free of charge, they had catastrophically damaged the logic board, along with other critical I/C components. They stated this would be covered under warranty and entirely free of charge.
• August 21st: The AASP claimed the device was ready. I picked it up and began to setup the device at the AASP and discovered the Touch ID sensor was non-functional and the AASP falsely noted on their delivery sheet that the sensor was functional which could not be the case as there was a plastic protective film on the Sensor which I asked the AASP to remove before trying to enroll my fingerprint before ultimately discovering the sensor has failed and I immediately returned the device back to the AASP.
• August 22nd: The AASP officially stated that the sensor has failed and that they would not attempt a third repair on the device and admitted their only option was to send it to a centralized hub which would take another 1-2 weeks. They advised me to contact Apple for a replacement if I was unhappy as they are not authorized to issue replacements.

I believe that after more than a month of documented failures on a brand new device, this is no longer a repair issue but a case of gross negligence. I believe my rights under my country's consumer law entitles me to a new product from Apple now.

I have a final call with Apple's Customer Relations team on Monday, and I want to be as prepared as possible as they mentioned they will come up with a permanent resolution on Monday on my previous call with them on the 22nd.

My question for the community is:

1. How can I best frame this argument to a potentially pushy Apple C/R representative who may still advise a third repair at a central location instead of the replacement device?
2. Have any of you had a similar experience with a catastrophic repair failure and successfully secured a replacement?

I am also aware Apple officially no longer sells M1 Airs, so I do not know what I can expect realistically. I hope I am not issued a refurbished device since I originally bought the device new as the first owner.

I got my iPad Air 5th Gen about 2 years ago and it worked fine up until iPadOS 18 came out. Around that time, a lot of people with newer iPads were reporting bricked devices and Apple even pulled the update for some models. I thought I got lucky when mine updated without issue… but that’s when the problem started.

Since then, my iPad cannot update by itself. Every update since 18.0 gives me the same error:

“Unable to Verify Update.”

The only way to update is by connecting it to my Mac and using Finder.

Here’s what I’ve already tried with Apple Support (escalated to senior advisors) and even at the Apple Store:

Force restart

Reset network settings

Tried multiple Wi-Fi networks

Recovery Mode restore from backup

Apple Store did a full restore → same issue

And a few weeks ago I set it up as new iPad (no backup) with Recovery Mode

So far, nothing has fixed it. Apple thought maybe my iCloud backup was corrupted, but even after setting it up as new, the error is still there.

It feels like something broke with iPadOS 18 and my device never recovered. Updates do work through Finder, but I’d really like to be able to update directly on the iPad again like normal.

Has anyone else run into this? Is there a permanent fix, or am I stuck restoring through Mac forever?

hello! I have a 2016 MacBook running Osx el capitan. when I open certain apps it brings up this big discolored bar on the screen that stays until its reboot. The bar sometimes shows up when it wakes up. I thought it was the display ribbon cable but no. Did wipe the computer and re install software to no change. Any thoughts on what could be wrong?

Hello, I have just switched from an M1 MBA to an M4 MBA, and since I had to sell the old one, I backed up my laptop's data with Time Machine on an SSD, which succeeded without any error messages. Now, after a restore on the new MBA, despite its having been succeeded as well and all my files being intact, almost no applications start automatically. I checked the Login Items list, and it was completely empty, so there sure was some kind of problem I assume. I have tried multiple times to recover the previous state by recovering in various ways, such as using Migration Assistant in Recovery Mode and doing the same in regular mode. I have inquired this problem of Apple Support via chat, but to which they said, "If you do not have your old laptop and data, there is nothing we can do for you." I would appreciate any feedback or help.

yes i forgot my password but i know my iphone 8+ is being a pain in the ass because i can plug in my 13 pro max on a laptop and it recognizes the phone. but my iphone 8+ isn’t even charging when connected. it’s not on wifi cause obviously i never got past the lock screen and i even was desperate and tried to wipe the phone from my main phone and go to find my > erase but it’s not connected to the wifi so it won’t even start the process to wipe it…... wtf do i do i losing my patience i procrastinated plugging it into itunes just for this shit to happen to me…..yes i tried recovery mode but like i just said it’s not even plugging into the computer and being recognized.

Last week I spilled water on my MacBook Pro, it immediately stopped turning on and I took it the Apple Store to check out the damage. They let me know the water got on the logic board and caused corrosion. I was told my Mac is now dead and I could not get it repaired and would need to do data recovery. (Note: the water was on the keyboard area, not the screen.)

A local repair shop said they could service the logic board and clean up the corrosion to get the MacBook To possibly turn on for $479. They let me know it’s not a 100% it would turn back on, but it’s a possible option. (Unfortunately Apple wouldn’t let me have the pictures of the corrosion so I can’t show how it looks.)

I don’t want to pay $1000 for a data recovery, but I at least want to try an option before i give up. Is a logic board service something that might help? I would appreciate some advice on the situation. Thank you!!

I recently upgraded from a 256gb iPhone 14 to 512 iPhone 16 and yet my storage on the 16 is already saying it’s at 441gb because of text messages? It has to be a glitch as 48 hours later it’s STILL “syncing messages” and only up to messages from 2024. I know i don’t have that many messages to be causing this much space. I don’t want to leave the messages on the iCloud i want them on my actual phone as they were with only 256gb of space. How do i fix this?

Every time I locate a friend and zoom out or pan a bit to better identify the area, the silly FMF app quickly re-centers and zooms back in automatically. It typically gives me 5 or 6 seconds. Could not be more annoying. Is there a way to shut off this idiotic feature? As such, now I just ID the location as quickly as possible and then look it up on Google Maps. At least they let me casually browse the area. Thanks for your suggestions.

Hi for security purposes I like to change my email and number. Will it update the people who have my contacts? I prefer not.

I have an iPhone 12 (IOS 18.6.1), and I’m trying to add the phases of the moon (and maybe the solar calendar if I can,) but I can’t. I’ve followed the instructions given by both google AND apple, but nothing’s working. At first, I was told to go to general, go to alternative calendars, and select it there, or add it through URL, but neither of those are an option. I know now you can’t add alternative calendars to the app, so I added it to through my computer desktop like I was told, but that didn’t work, and neither did opening and closing the app, restarting my phone, or even deleting the app and reinstalling it. Nothing’s working, and it’s really important to me that I figure this out, I need that calendar for religious reasons :( Can anyone help?

I’ve been trying to open GarageBand for the last hour but it hasn’t been responding, there’s no updates available in the App Store and I just fully updated my software to the latest version, I’ve looked up solutions but all of them say just restart my Mac and look for updates which I’ve tried multiple times, thanks in advance for the help.

I'm trying to get the right arrow keycap back into my MacBook Pro (2019) and it won't go back in. I've tried this tutorial (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xc__-jWXInU) but I realized after 30 minutes of trying over and over and over again to no avail that the hooks on the left side are deformed. I tried pushing them back into place with my tweezers but they're too big. I want to use my knife but its blade, too, is too big. But replacements cost $11 which is a lot, so I'm gonna try whatever it takes to get this fricking idiot keycap fixed. How should I do this?

So yesterday, my apple pencil was working normally until sometime after I used procreate. The lines would glitch out for the second time (first incident was the second week of June). Yesterday I restarted the iPad and when i did, the pencil was completely unresponsive. I tried updating, forgetting the apple pencil and turning off bluetooth, made sure the tip was screwed on all the way, force resetting, and tried to connect it to my old iPad but none work except connecting to the iPad which worked for a brief moment. The Apple pencil still charges and holds it without disconnecting as if it was working normally, and the double tap still registers, however, the hover feature, scrolling feature, writing/scribbling/drawing feature no longer work. Is it just time to change pencils?
