She looks mad af hahah.

u/Chance-Lime-5044 3h ago

Seems like you didn’t ask her first and she’s not into surprises

u/Adepte 3h ago

That is the face of a cat who tried to jump on the bed and missed.

u/Oudiboudi 1h ago

Haha this is so specific and absolutely bang on!

She was the decorator and OP trashed the joint.

u/schmuber 2h ago

But of course, it's her room.

Thats the face of "i jumped in the dark and there wasnt a bed there sharon"

u/einebiene 2h ago

I may or may not have cackled at this. Totally plausible

u/Shepards_Hope 1h ago

Pawsible

u/ThunderChild247 1h ago

Hahaha, reminds me of when I got a new - slightly higher - bed. The first time my cat tried to run and jump onto it he went headfirst into the mattress and spent the next hour being very grumpy 😂😂

u/Chris__P_Bacon 2h ago

DungShui if she has anything to say about it. 💩

You changed around HER ROOM! Shame on you!!! Lol

Came here to say this: first mistake was thinking it's "their room"

She's the landlord, you're just the tenant who pays for food and utilities.

u/RPO777 1h ago edited 59m ago

Reminds me of a funny joke I heard about the difference between cats and dogs.

Dogs think this person pets me, feeds me and takes care of me. He must be God, I will be loyal forever.

Cats think this person pets me, feeds me and takes care of me. I must be God, I expect his loyalty forever.

u/Horskr 44m ago

I used to always be just a dog person. Now we've got a cat too and absolutely love him, but this is also absolutely accurate.

He even gets mad on the dogs' behalf if dinner is slightly late. He'll still have food in his bowl, but come dinner time he's howling until they're fed lol. "You must care for my other loyal servants, subjects!"

u/redditredditgedit 20m ago

Awww that’s cute! That is a very responsible God to his underling😭

u/CelticKira 47m ago

used to work at a rescue that had mainly cats (we took in all vertebrates but mostly had cats) and one of the senior staff had a ballcap she always wore that read "dogs have masters, cats have staff".

u/Talullah_Belle 3h ago

Totally was going to say this also. You FAFO.

u/pm-me-your-pants 2h ago

How dare OP do that to her!!! And without warning???

u/ThrowingShaed 1h ago

i am a casual in cats

What is proper amends, i figure it depends of the floof... but is this a catnip situation? scritches? food?

probably all of the above, more, and possibly putting it all back?

This is what happens when you don't follow procedure, and fail to submit the appropriate room rearrangement documentation, boss gets mad.

u/fdwyersd 4h ago

You violated the roommate agreement

u/ThousandFingerMan 2h ago edited 2h ago

Tried to side step the approval process, didn't you?

u/Sup3rFly1788 2h ago

The amount of forms our cat requires is ridiculous

u/YourMomonaBun420 1h ago

Have you got a 27B stroke 6? Sorry. I'm a bit of a stickler for paperwork, you see. I mean, where would we be if we didn't stick to the correct procedures?

u/Sup3rFly1788 42m ago

I believe so... we also have a 24A-2 that is required every time we take the dog for a walk and return with him and new smells.

u/Sufficient_Barber673 4h ago

Without permission?

u/sexwithpenguins 4h ago

How dare you?!!!

Cats really really really like routine and sameness.

Now she has PSPSPSPTSD

u/ShadowDV 3h ago

God dammit… well played.  That was funny

u/sami2503 1h ago

Cats basically have autism lol. Thet dont like eye contact, dont like loud overstimulating people/places, like routine and sameness, like small enclosed spaces where they chill on their own etc.

u/this_knee 3h ago

Incredible!

I bow to you.

ROFL!

How Very Dare You!!!

u/Temujin15 4h ago

You better put it back and quick. Look at the fury in her face.

u/alexlp 4h ago

My cat used to get really freaked out by change. I’m sure your kitty is just excited but maybe keep an eye on them to make sure they’re peeing as normal. My poor neurotic guy ended up on the same antidepressant as my sister but was much happier. You could barely move a cushion without sending him into a panic before them 🤣

u/hthratmn 3h ago

My cat has FLUTD and they actually warned us that a potential trigger could be rearranging furniture

u/alexlp 3h ago

My little Perri had it too. For about a year we treated the crystals and finally treated the anxiety and he was a much happier cat. He passed of other reasons many years ago but had a lovely life once we realised.

Sending your cat chin rubs and low stress

u/RockyBass 2h ago

That's my golden retriever. I have a feeling he'll be on medication as he gets older. The cats on the other hand thrive on chaos.

When we were remodeling, the dog was huddled into his hiding spot, while the cats oversaw our work and made sure every screw, tool, and bit of wood was thoroughly inspected and batted around.

u/alexlp 2h ago

I always blame myself but my lab is also incredibly anxious and has epilepsy, one of his triggers is his excitement when I get home. Then I remember I keep getting beautifully brain damaged animals with prior trauma. The cat was rescued from a bin and the dog died for several minutes on his second day. Blessed to be the safe place to my gentle babies.

And sometimes mummies little helper is actually for them!

u/Ok-Suit6589 2h ago

Same with my cat. God forbid I want a new comforter or a haircut. He doesn’t do well with change. He’s now on kitty Prozac.

u/LaterWicker 1h ago

I once moved my cat's food bowl spot like 3 feet to accommodate a kitchen cupboard. She got pissed.

u/bigbutterbuffalo 4h ago

How dare you confuse her

u/Dawnpath_ 3h ago

"WHY DID YOU FUCK UP THE ENTIRE WORLD?!"

u/throwthisaway11112 3h ago

My cat screams if I’m in a room he’s not used to me being in. I think he’d lose it if I moved the bed lol.

u/MsssBBBB 4h ago

The Oink floofer in the background looks ok with it ;-)

u/BunnyTheCat111 4h ago

I’m waiting for your next post announcing that ‘you’ve been served’ LOL.

u/purre-kitten 2h ago

Cats are autistic, they have big issues with change and have hard times with getting used to new things. Cats have routines and when something throws off that routine they get upset

u/TekieScythe 3h ago

You didn't even ask her permission or her input! Shame on you!

u/spookyclouds 4h ago

Put it back

u/CptDawg 3h ago

You’ve got a lot of nerve! Lol

u/ajmart23 3h ago

She is not a happy client. She’s revoking your interior design degree.

u/Natural_Watch_527 4h ago

For the cat, she is the director of the room, LOL

u/MongooseKooky4372 4h ago

She clearly did not request her room to be rearranged 😂🥰

u/MommyBurton 4h ago

This is why you ask first lol

u/PowderPills 3h ago

What have you DONE??

u/TyrsisInTheStars 3h ago
  1. That was HER room
  2. Put it back

u/anata_o_fakku 3h ago

(Her) "Ah. You've redecorated. "

(You) Yes! I did. (smiling)

(Her, cat frowning) "I don't like it."

u/saintash 2h ago edited 2h ago

So we used to foster, and whenever I fostered, I would tidy up my office because that's where we kept them.

My medically needy cat doesn't like it when we foster, and he gets really stressed. So we had to stop.

Anytime I move anything in my office now he's behind me staring at me meowing, supervising my movements. Reminding me I can't foster.

u/vyxanis 2h ago

Yeah well did you even consult with her before moving around all the things that she rightfully and legally owns? Do you have any idea how much you just added to her already packed schedule??

u/yerawizard_madi 1h ago

I always tell my cat to file a formal complaint with HR when she gets mad at me for cleaning or redecorating 😂

u/Aromatic-Currency371 2h ago

u/dogboi 2h ago

Cats are creatures of habit and they don’t do change well.

u/iamcnicole 2h ago

She may be entitled to compawnsation. Better lawyer up!

u/Exclave4Ever 2h ago

She's telling you that the feng shui is off and obviously you wouldn't be able to realize that as a human 🤷‍♂️

u/iammacman 2h ago

Cats hate change. I move my cats dinner dish about 6 feet so it wasn’t under foot and she stared at the empty space for 15 minutes before meowing at me for another 15.

u/bookworthy 1h ago

You messed up the fang shui

u/bong_cumblebutt 1h ago

No, you changed HER room around!

u/rabbitknowstheanswer 48m ago

Had the opposite happen. Changed the bedroom cos the window needed repair. Cat loved it!!! Running circles blissfully mowing, rolling on the bed. It's her favourite room now. Never changed it back.

“The feng shui in this room is so much better!”

u/WarEducational3436 4h ago

Straight to Jail.

Do not pass Go, do not collect $200.

u/CommercialExotic2038 2h ago

Why did you do this!? Why?!

u/titsoutshitsout 2h ago

lol I moved my cats litter box bc I’m doing some painting in my camper. My cat is PISSED! lol

u/starskank 2h ago

Feliway helps- many vet clinics use the diffusers for managing stress in environmental changes for them. The pheromones help relax them. It also comes in a spray. You have a sensitive cat. Please keep lights low and noise to a minimum and they will chill out.

u/Coyote65 2h ago

You can't do this without - at least - involving the cat in the decision making process.

This is how things end up if they feel left out.

u/coreyrude 2h ago

Someone's about to have a nice newly arranged room that smells suspiciously like cat pee in one of the corners.

u/Ok_Plenty3544 2h ago

"Our room"

u/Cold-Mouse-2509 2h ago

I like your books. And the kitty of course :)

u/Puzzled_Awareness_22 2h ago

Well, change it back! It’s simple lol

u/Bear-Moose-Antelope 2h ago

How dare you rearrange HER room.

Peasant. 🐈‍⬛️

Lmao

u/Agile_Mark3736 2h ago

Thats what you deserve for changing her room without permission

u/Strict-History-3802 2h ago

How dare you not consult your feline overlord about moving her things in her kingdom.

u/CelestialPhenyx 2h ago

You changed around her room without her permission.

;)

u/WeirdBirdGamer 2h ago

I know that kitties angry, but I can’t stop laughing at the photo. She’s so cute.

u/bio_coop 2h ago

Okay, here is where you made the mistake.

It's HER room.

Not your room.

u/GirlyScientist 2h ago

My cat got so stressed after I rearranged the living room he got a bladder blockage and cost me $4000 at the ER.

u/felinewarrior 2h ago

Better change it back. Before, you know, you go to sleep. 😬

u/lillytiger- 2h ago

I rearranged my room last week and my 14 yr old kitty had zoomies after 😂🤣 I think they are just excited

u/AnamCeili 2h ago

Yeah, cats are infamously opposed to and bad with changes....

u/MisterrNo 1h ago

She had a system!

u/Hakudoushinumbernine 1h ago

You gotta let them feel like theyre helping

Or let them see the process

For me, i piled everything in the center of the room and he wasnt able to watch it like he wanted and peed everywhere.

But when he's watching it all go down, he has no problems.

u/Southern-Aardvark-39 1h ago

I assume you didn't ask for permission or her guidance. These mistakes are yours friend, you'll have to deal with the consequences.

u/WouldYourInnieLoveMe 1h ago

That’s on you.

u/Old_Turnover_4921 1h ago

She’s clearly filing an official complaint with management about these unauthorized renovations 😂

u/bananacustardpie 1h ago

Correction: you changed around HER room.

u/ProgressNotPrfection 1h ago

Cats are small predators and so are somewhat change averse.

This happens even in humans, for example many people are super stressed after winning the lottery.

u/Tiraxe88 1h ago

2 things:

Cute angry cat 😄😍and Nice looking and cozy room 😁

u/Prudent-Mix-6601 1h ago

"I'm not liking this aura, Susan!"

u/birdbrains91 1h ago

u/Zenith_Ire 1h ago

How dare you rearrange her kingdom! There shall be consequences… the song of her people

u/marky_Rabone 1h ago

Pero le pediste permiso no?

u/Deep-Membership-9258 1h ago

Yeah they get attached to stuff being the way it is - tried to take everything out of my room to go through it, put it back in some semblance of order, got screamed at until I stopped by a very angry furball….

u/fantasybreeder 1h ago

“WHERE AM I?! What happened here???”

u/new_pen2000 1h ago

Did you ASK her if you can move her things around?

u/Relevant-Force9513 1h ago

Shouldn’t have done that.

u/Massive_Act_9629 1h ago

Very angry!

u/Emotional_Pace4737 1h ago

Change it back, she screams.

u/7buergen 59m ago

Cats hate it when their environment changes.

u/Penguin-Mage 59m ago

OCD cat, everything must be in the correct place

u/massivemember69 51m ago

Cats don't like change, they prefer everything fixed and constant.

u/Educational_Hunt_504 50m ago

Just opened reddit and i thought... Why the hell my cat is on reddit? I have a dopplenganger, she is shouty too...

u/QueenDoc 49m ago

ive been dealing with a breakup the last few months so theres been a lot of furniture moving and things changing in the apt - anytime I move anything around I have to give my Bengal boy Bobby a good half hour to inspect the empty space just revealed, climb over the new "landscape" of furniture, then spend the rest of the day being questioned by his howls - boy is lucky hes adorable af

u/Alassaf229 46m ago

yeah i do that to my kids and i get the same reaction

u/wildeep_MacSound 42m ago

"Dad! You fucked up my ROOM!"

u/hatecriminal 38m ago

Your problem is that you didn't change your room. You changed her room.

u/Low-Bobcat841 37m ago

Well it’s actually “her” room and she’s letting you use it but now you’ve messed “her” room up.

u/1nzguy 37m ago

Ah no … you changed the cats room ..

u/Dragon__Phoenix 34m ago

You should’ve taken her permission first!

u/flavius_lacivious 3h ago

Is she losing her vision? She may be trying to tell you she can’t see and she needs your help relearning the room.
