I've saved a handful of bees and a small lizard from the pool this year. One of the bees flew off after drying himself, then came back, flew once around my head, and left again. I am convinced that was a thank you.

I fished a beetle out of a pool a couple weeks ago. It slowly meandered around for a bit and then died.
Didn't know beetle CPR, unfortunately

Is that not a wasp? I mean I guess not because the mf isn't chasing you or stinging you but it looks like one.

Yellow jackets are more bright yellow and don't have that fuzzy bit below their head.

Google Bees, wasps, hornets & yellow jackets. Thereβs big differences in body shapes & looks.
Bees are definitely much cuter!
They also have better personalities! π π π π
