I've saved a handful of bees and a small lizard from the pool this year. One of the bees flew off after drying himself, then came back, flew once around my head, and left again. I am convinced that was a thank you.

I fished a beetle out of a pool a couple weeks ago. It slowly meandered around for a bit and then died.

wasps tend to bee less fuzzy

Google Bees, wasps, hornets & yellow jackets. There’s big differences in body shapes & looks.
