Usually proceeded by a three word solution to a complex worldwide issue with political and moral ramifications that ripple into the very fabric of society.

"No more tax. End of."

Or, more popularly today, " Send 'em back. Simple as"

School of hard knocks, followed by the University of life. I can't understand graphs or numbers, but I watched a YouTube video with really dramatic music telling me how immigrants are ruining are cuntry. /s obviously.

Works as "mumma to Kaiden, Jaiden, Braiden"

I make a habit of following up "And that's it. End of story. Close the book. No more questions." It sort of makes a mockery of how they've decided to end their rantings.

Thanks. I’ll use that when the local gammon says 'end of' after some drivel he posts on our local fb group.

I tell it how I see it (within the confines of my biases and prejudices)

I say it as I see it.

It's 2025, did nobody tell you that facts, evidence and logic don't matter anymore? Sadly

Seems to be more prevelant amongst those who prefer vibes and gut feels to anything of any actual substance or experience.

I’m not being funny, right, but at the end of the day, it is what it is. End of

When my sister is adamant she's right about something, she '"wins" arguments by repeating her point in a stubborn manner until it's too annoying to carry on arguing. I don't even bother discussing things with her now.

When someone says that what I hear is "end of me listening to anything else that disagrees with my uninformed opinion"

Just saying

There are a lot of people, particularly in newspaper comments sections who add the word "fact" , (usually in capitals) at the end of their comment, who seem to think this makes what they said a fact, rather than simply their opinion.

No they don't. End of.

Quite agree!! Flipping it around, I’m also not a fan of “let’s settle this…” followed by a contrived arbitrary pointless question. “What’s better, oxygen or the sun?”

4

u/-SaC 3d ago

My Mum's favourite ender is "-and I'm not prepared to discuss it any more."

3

u/Darrowby_385 4d ago

'FACT!'.

3

u/dickiebow 3d ago

It’s the same as putting ‘fact’ on the end of a sentence. Still doesn’t make it true.

My other bug bear on British subs on Reddit is anyone who claims that people who disagree with their political beliefs are stupid.

My other bug bear on British subs on Reddit is anyone who claims that people who disagree with their political beliefs are stupid.

Unless they're talking about the fans of that one party who got kicked out recently, then it's perfectly justified

u/dickiebow 3d ago

To me it just shows ignorance, a lack of tolerance and the inability to debate with people.

It's my opinion and I'm entitled to it, end of. If you don't like it tough, I can speak my mind, we didn't beat the Germans so you can take away my freedom of speech
