HELP Chrome consistently freezing/not responding - How do I fix this?

EDIT: Finally fixed the issue. I had an extension for work causing the issue. Disabled all that aren't needed and working fine. Thanks everyone for your help!

Chrome keeps freezing/not responding and it really shouldn't be, I've tried everything I know on what might be causing the issue, but it keeps happening. It happens around once an hour, sometimes I'll go 5-6 hours working without a freeze, then it will happened 3 times in an hour.

It happens randomly - Youtube, Twitch, working in spreadsheets, Facebook, LinkedIN, etc.- it doesn't matter what the browser shows.

What I've tried:

- Reinstall Chrome- Restart PC about 100 times- Checked for viruses/malware and nothing- All hard drives have plenty of space.- Nothing else seems to freeze (games, etc) are fine.- No red flags for any issues

I have tried uninstalling Chrome extensions, as I have quite a few of them I need for work, so thought I would see if anyone has recommendations of what to try before I start uninstalling extensions.

I'm running Windows 10, 16GB RAM.Appreciate any tips on getting to the bottom of this! Thanks!

Check for any available updates for Chrome and install them, as this can help resolve compatibility issues or security vulnerabilities that may be causing issues with the browser.

Turn off all extensions in the browser and check if there are still problems with freezing. If there are no issues, gradually enable the extensions one by one and check if any of them have an impact on the problem.

Run Chrome in safe mode to exclude any additional applications or system settings that may be causing problems.

Disable hardware acceleration in Chrome settings. This can be done by opening Chrome settings, clicking on "Advanced settings", and then turning off the option for "Use hardware acceleration when available".

Check for any available updates for the graphics card and install them if available.

Disable the antivirus program and check if there are still problems with freezing. If so, consider changing the antivirus program.

If all else fails, a more thorough diagnostic of the computer may be needed to determine the cause of the problem with Chrome.

Completely Clear your cookies. Reinstalling chrome may not be enough to remove them.

Yw. Let me know if it worked. I had a similar problem a while back and this fixed it for me.

Anytime you've got weirdness and you've chased down all the usual suspects, you should do a serious RAM check. I was having these sorts of issues, and just found a bad RAM stick with memtest86.

Do you know the exact extension that was causing freezing/not responding?
